| Canon in D | 27 Nov 2006 01:36 GMT | 31 |
As I type this, I'm listening to "Canon In D", a Baroque piece composed by Alfred Pachelebel. I'll bet Nikon doesn't have a song named after it; let alone a classic! ;)

| Time lapse films of Bristol | 27 Nov 2006 01:34 GMT | 2 |
Just read an article about this guy in a local rag and thought I'd share - I must admit I hadn't thought of looking for timelapse stuff on YouTube - but then I'm stoopid like that :-) http://www.youtube.com/profile_videos?user=timelapseman

I am hoping to do a slide presentation using Apple's Keynote, which I understand is similar to PowerPoint. In terms of file size, how big should an image be to retain sharpness on an "average" size screen (say a five-foot wide screen at 15 feet or so)?

| Canon SLR Custom Function Question | 26 Nov 2006 21:23 GMT | 1 |
I have a 20D and am curious about custom function 18 (Add Original Decision Data ). I understand that this adds a checksum to the image file to prove that the file is as it came from the camera, and/or if it has been altered since.

| Sony H5 | 26 Nov 2006 17:30 GMT | 9 |
Anyone have this camera? I'm highly considering it, but can't find anyplace where they have a working model on display. I have to buy it, try it, and then if I don't like it pay the 15% restocking fee (about $60). TIA

| SLR for < ~$1100 US recommendations or flames? | 26 Nov 2006 14:37 GMT | 23 |
I'm so tired of my old Olypmus "brownie" that takes seconds to decide when to grab an image - I want to get back to a SLR type body and lense that takes a pic WHEN I press the button - used to do do a lot of 35mm and

| Zoom Clarification | 26 Nov 2006 14:36 GMT | 6 |
A point of confusion: For example, what does zoom 6.7X mean? Is that the multiplier if one uses the smallest to the largest image a camera can record? What is the reference? A friend of mine asked me and I'm not certain that I told her correctly.
