Canon A540 - what speed for SD card ?28 Nov 2006 05:10 GMT8
I'm getting a new 6MP Canon PowerShot A540 today.
I have a PQI Hi-Speed 60 2GB SD flash memory card.
QUESTION:  Is this 60X (9 MB/Sec) 2GB card fast enough for this camera?
I am assuming that the camera will store the image in internal memory first,
Corrupted pictures28 Nov 2006 04:29 GMT6
On holiday in America, I filled a 512 SD card with pictures using my
newlt acquired Pentax Optio S6.
I then inserted a 256 card and started to get problems. The camera
would lock up and could only be restarted by removing the battery.
SD800 scene modes28 Nov 2006 02:40 GMT1
Another novice question:
On my old camera (Canon S40) I frequently used the "sports" mode at
kids games in order to get fast shutter speeds.  My documentation for
my new SD800 includes only very brief descriptions of shooting modes,

Any recommendations?  All seem to be a good choice.  Are there any things to
be aware of before deciding on one?  Just looking for any information that
the experts can pass along.  Thanks for your insight.

Research for price before you buy your next camera27 Nov 2006 23:07 GMT1
If you buy a lot of electronic equipments and digital camera like me, I
encourage you to do your research and compare price on the internet
before you buy. It will save you LOTS of $$ when you do your research
prior to your final checkout.
Can Audio Clips be Attached to Pics on Olympus IR300?27 Nov 2006 22:56 GMT2
The Olympus website has no information on this camera and the specs I've
googled don't address this issue.  They do mention audio in the video mode,
however.
I would like to have about 30 seconds of sound on each pic and also use the
Panasonic LX 1 or LX 227 Nov 2006 21:24 GMT3
I read reviews on both these cameras, but it's difficult to tell which
one actually produces better images. 8mp is more than enough for my
needs and the Venus 3 engine in the LX 2 seems even worse than the
Venus 2 engine. I really like the screen of he LX 2,  but that's about
Pictures on a CD27 Nov 2006 21:06 GMT3
I'm trying to display a slide show of pictures on my TV using a Sony DVD/CD
player.  The pictures will not display in the same order that they are put
on the CD.  Sony's instructions suggest using a prefix 01, 02, etc. on the
file names but this doesn't seem to work.

Rebel XTi Auto Focus Question27 Nov 2006 15:30 GMT7
I am an owner of a Canon G3 and G5 and am planning on moving to a DSLR
and the Canon Rebel XTi is in my sights.  (being so familiar with
Canon's user interface now....).
I am a bit confused about the autofocus of this camera.  I assume the
Differences in SD Memory Card Prices27 Nov 2006 10:34 GMT3
Why is there such a big difference in prices for the same size of
memory cards? ( I am talking about new store bought). I have seen the
prices vary from 14.99 to 39.99 for 512MB.   Are they just better
brands?  Do memory cards have a life-span?
SD800 advice27 Nov 2006 09:04 GMT13
I just purchased a Canon SD800 and I have a few questions that I'd
appreciate some help with:
- I haven't purchased a memory card yet.  Will large sizes like 2GB or
1GB work with it?

Anyone have experience with any of the 3rd party batts with much
