I use PhotoPlus freeware (an old version of the current software) for minor photo editing. I've worked with Text Layers but haven't been able to grasp the concept of layering anything else. If anyone knows a link with a tutorial for beginners on Layers (I don't care which

| Federally mandate limits on pixel counts :) | 03 Nov 2006 00:43 GMT | 17 |
Sensor size and design should dictate this. Noise levels at 400 ISO should be capped. A crummy 1/1.8 sensor should NOT be allowed to have more than 5 megapixels and other sensors should be capped in accordance with a minimum pixel size. Pixels should not be allowed to drop below

| Sigma 17-70 zoom? | 02 Nov 2006 19:34 GMT | 10 |
Having had the original Rebel and kit lens, I say the lens is not bad, but only fair. Canon has a "step up" IS lens, but optical performance is disappointing. I also looked at the Canon 17-40L, but it is pricy and quite large (77mm filter). Looking at Photozone's fairly detailed ...

| Fujifilm FinePix E900 digital camera | 02 Nov 2006 03:22 GMT | 9 |
Just got this camera a week ago. Low battery sign keeps comming up just about daily. New batteries placed each time but battery life is ridiculously short. I don't keep the camera on or use it extensively, maybe 10 pix per day if that and just the usual review and delete
