I'm in the market for a new digital camera and I'm wondering if I could
get some opinions on the Canon 6 MP PowerShot S3 IS Digital? My first
choice was a Nikon D50 but above my budget. Is there any advantage of
using the Cannon S3 over say a smaller (body wise) point-and-shoot

I am looking to buy a Pentax DSLR for my wife and have narrowed my choice
down to the K100D and *istDL2 but don't know how to choose between them.
Can anyone recommend which one to go for, and why? What is the difference
between the K series and teh *ist series?

A620 is available at around £160
whereas the a540 is available at around £125
Tha main differences seem to be the display.

My dx4330 does, once and a while.  Does Kodak have a stability problem?

 My wife bought a Kodak C743 camer the other day and a 1gb Sandisk SD
card. Problem we've found is that the camera asks to format the card,
shows the hour glass like it's doing it for 1.5secs and then defaults
back asking to format it again.

I learned today that the "shake" warning on Canon cameras is simply
based on reaching shutter speeds less than 1/60th second.  
The old 1/60th rule is based on an average person with steady hands
using a 35mm camera with a normal lens.  It applied to cameras pressed

I am new to digital compact cameras (my flagship is a Rebel XT but I
won a Samsung NV10 at a contest) and the manual from Samsung is good,
but lousy in relation to the built in flash.

Does anyone have any real world experience using the above 2 lenses?
I have the Nikon 300mm f/4 AF and am considering upgrading to the AF-S
model.  I use it primarily for action sports and wildlife (birds mostly)
using my D2Xs.

i am looking to upgrade my lights .. i am looking at visatec or the elinchrom
monolights ..
i quiet like the visatec 3200b and the elinchrom 1200 . Now one of my major
concerns is that visatec does not make the octa unlike the elinchrom .
