Spherical Photography17 Nov 2006 15:43 GMT6
Does anybody know how this spherical photography is done and what kind of
equipment do you need to do it? From those amazing pictures I could say that
it cannot be done by stitching, because there are moving objects in the
pictures which would be impossible to stitch together. It ...

how many acceptable images people can get out of a roll of transparency film
with all this post production these days?
Polarising filter with UV filter?17 Nov 2006 11:51 GMT23
I recently bought a UV filter for the 17-85mm lens I bought, and I'm
considering whether or not to buy a polarising filter too.
When using a polarising filter is it normal to remove the UV filter
first, or do you mix the two?
Why did reviewers not pick up on the Leica M8 problems?17 Nov 2006 10:37 GMT29
Because they were asked not to publish what they saw until after Leica
had time to address the issues.

Some Kodak p880 questions (ron?) batts and filenames17 Nov 2006 10:30 GMT4
I'm looking, again, at a new Kodak. But the one I'm looking at doesn't
use the AA I prefer.
Question, just how "proprietary" are these batteries?  Here are the
kodak numbers.
JPEG files not being recognised by domestic DVD player17 Nov 2006 10:11 GMT9
My wife and I have several digital cameras between us and I regularly
compose slide shows on my PC and burn them on to CD or DVD for showing
on our television(s).  Until recently this has worked fine with the 2
DVD players and TVs that we had.  I have recently bought an all

Do any of the digital printing firms (BonuPrint etc) print the IPTC
caption or EXIF description on the rear of the photo?
Erwin Puts on AA filters (in his M8 review)17 Nov 2006 09:37 GMT6
From <http://www.imx.nl/photosite/leica/M8_2/t007.html>:
"The Leica M solution is less dependent on the post-processing
"software and will allow the optical quality of the lenses to be
"recorded as honest as possible.
Need new color printer17 Nov 2006 07:21 GMT3
My Canon i960 has just crapped out so I'm in need of a new color printer
ASAP.
Unfortunately I haven't been keeping up with the state of the industry
lately and have no idea of what I might replace it with.
When does SLR start to make sense ?17 Nov 2006 06:09 GMT39
I understand that the bigger sensors in the current SLRs will give a better
image than the sensors in the compacts, but when does the difference start
to show ? And how ?
Say comparing a good quality 6 MP compact (say Fuji F30) with a good quality
Canon SD10017 Nov 2006 05:13 GMT1
My Canon SD 100 has just developed a problem I have never encountered before.
It's been working fine until today. When I turned it on, the LCD Monitor shows
no response, i.e. it's blank gray!! The lens comes out normally,I look through
the view finder and things are normal,I can ...

Apart from Photoshop repair work, is there an easier method to remove the date
overprint from dated Pics? Thanks Mac
Picking the proper lens for your 5D17 Nov 2006 04:39 GMT4
There's absolutely no sense in buying a 5D unless you are going to mate it
with the proper lens.

Digital Rebels for Morons Book???17 Nov 2006 04:24 GMT28
Okay, my camera arrived yesterday, and idiotic philistine that I am, I
am already disappointed with it.  I found out I have to use the
viewfinder!!!  There is no swivel LCD that allows me to take whole
sequences of my armpit singing I'm a Yankee Doodle Dandy.  There is no
