D70s - will it accept AF-D lenses (from my N70)?18 Nov 2006 17:49 GMT3
I'm considering the purchase of a Nikon D70s.  I already own a N70 and have
several AF-D type lenses. Is the D70s compatible with my older lenses?
Thanks,

pocket digicam with good glass18 Nov 2006 12:57 GMT18
I'm looking for recommendations for a smaller digicam (e.g. not a
DSLR) with good glass.  Budget is up to $800 (US).  IS would be nice
but is not necessary.  Flip-out LCD screen is nice, but not necessary.
Thanks!
Resolution, dpi, & pixelation for printing.18 Nov 2006 10:26 GMT13
Hi all. I just sent out a bunch of pictures to get processed. They were
taken with my new Canon A640 (10MP). I re-sampled the pix using Corel
Photopaint to 1024 x 768 to print 4" x 6" prints, because 10MP are too
big to upload. I believe that is the correct resolution to use,
Longevity of inkjet Matte papers?18 Nov 2006 10:26 GMT80
Anybody have words of wisdom about longevity of inkjet Matte papers?
According to Wilhelm's testing they are more durable against fading
than glossy "Photo" papers.  Friends who use Epson Heavyweight Matte
on an Epson 2400 report many years of non-fading display.

sRGB18 Nov 2006 04:07 GMT15
Hey, I've just bought a Canon 400D, works like a charm, but I'm no
professional. My pics are saved in sRGB colorspace format, which by all
accounts seems to be the format of choice for web publishing, which is
the main use of my photos (recreational) I have been having problems,
Canon Rebate transfer?18 Nov 2006 03:42 GMT3
I want to sell something I just bought which is part of the current Canon
Rebate program - it is only two weeks old - and wondering if the buyer can
still claim the rebate even though the invoice/receipt is not in his/her
name. If not maybe I'll claim the rebate myself and sell ...
Sony DSC H118 Nov 2006 03:30 GMT1
I have a Sony HI camera, some of my photographs are tiling on the
camera and occasionally when I download them to my PC. i.e. when I try
to edit them I open the image and I have 16 small images instead of 1
image. Has anyone had this problem and what is the resolve?
Help Me I Am Stupid18 Nov 2006 03:27 GMT32
I cannot wrap my brain around the following: I have a small-pixel size
photograph, 92, that I really need badly to "blow up" to 300 DPI or
greater.  Last night I purchased a JPEG to PDF converter for around
$30.  The software worked fantastically, but I did not check to see if
Deciding between Canon SD800 IS, A710 IS, and Fuji F3018 Nov 2006 00:43 GMT11
I've done some extensive reading online from various review sites, and
I have narrowed my field of cameras to consider to the following:
Canon SD800 IS

Nikon 18-200mm length17 Nov 2006 23:37 GMT5
Does the Nikon 18-200mm VR DX lens extend in length when zooming?  If it
does has anyone seen a link to a photo or it extended?

Two-Eyed Viewfinders17 Nov 2006 19:58 GMT13
For years I always took pictures using one eye looking through a viewfinder.
Now I have a Panasonic TZ1 that has no viewfinder and I find that I take
better pictures using the display screen. I am able to evaluate the scene on
the screen more objectively using both eyes. I look ...
