Dynamic Range of Point & Shoots...21 Nov 2006 03:16 GMT12
Is there a significant difference between a typical consumer dSLR
(400D, D80, A100) and a midrange point & shoot camera?
I've tried to find quantitative/statistical measurements of the dynamic
range of these cameras, but haven't been able to find any.
looking for a website to sell photos21 Nov 2006 02:52 GMT7
I'm looking for a website where I can post photos for sale to the public
or as stock photos.
I've tried Zazzle.com, but find the interface pretty confusing, and the
website hangs for a long time when I try to create a product - and there

I have bought a second hand D70 on ebay and now find that the built-in
flashgun is not working.  I really like this camera and am wondering if
the repair is a costly or inexpensive job; or should I simply buy a
separate flashgun for the camera..Advice would be welcomed.  Thanks in

Nikon Coolscan 9000 ED Scanner Speed?20 Nov 2006 20:28 GMT1
I've been using a Nikon Coolscan IV ED, film scanner for about 3
years.  The slow speed of this device is really starting to get to
me, despite the fact that it produces acceptable quality and is still
functioning just as well as the day I got it.   A full 35mm frame at

Epson 2200 , Inks and cold20 Nov 2006 18:08 GMT4
Well its that time again.  I have an Epson 2200 that I will have to
move.  It may have to be in the truck overnight in cold conditions,
potentially freezing.  Though that can't be good anyone know how it
would effect the inks or the printer should they freeze?  Any luck on

I have a Sea & Sea underwater housing for the Ricoh G3 camera and want to
either buy the camera or sell the housing.  Can't seem to locate a G3 on
E-Bay or anyplace else.  Does anyone have one for sale, or have one that
they would like to turn into an excellent underwater camera?  ...
SDHC card slower than SD?20 Nov 2006 17:44 GMT5
Got a Canon G7, and am using 2 memory cards.
a 4 GB SDHC and a 256M SD.
After taking a shot using the larger capacity SDHC card, it's at least
3+ seconds for the camera to process the shot, and ready itself for the

I have a Manfrotto #115 head and really miss having quick release. I
see from the manfrotto catalog that they sell 'plate adaptors' will
this do what I want - i.e. screw onto the head I've got and give me a
