Fake CF cards?04 Oct 2006 01:22 GMT14
With all the talk recently regarding fake SanDisk CF cards, I began to
wonder if my Lexar could be fake.  Is there a way to tell?
It is a 2GB 133x
The serial number on the edge of the card looks like this:
win2k sp 4 and USB card readers04 Oct 2006 00:24 GMT8
I've got  win2k service pak 4 and I'm wondering if you still need to
load those old mfg driver files from 2001 for old smartmedia card
readers (e.g. microtech snapshot USB card reader) or if windows
supports all those usb readers natively now.

Used canned air on my dSLR sensor and there are residues on the sensor, what to do now?03 Oct 2006 22:37 GMT14
I made the horrible mistake of using compressed air to clean some dust
on my sensor but eventhough I was holding it up-right there was some
liquid that came out of it, now I am stuck with some residues on the
sensor and they are very noticeable on all the pictures.
Sorta OT - does the old compuserver photo forum still exist somewhere?03 Oct 2006 22:21 GMT1
Just thinking about this the other day, I had some pic's posted on it
back in the early 90's that I had totally forgotten about, and was
wondering if they still exist somewhere. I see that AOL still has
Compuserve running, but I'm not sure if its just a portal to the net or

Minolta Dimag A20003 Oct 2006 21:12 GMT5
I have a Minolta Dimag A200.  I need to take fast, action shots.  I cannot
get the shutter to release quick enough to capture the action.
Any help on setting this, if possible, would really be appreciated.

Which SD Card for Pentax K110D03 Oct 2006 18:20 GMT8
I'm looking to get the Pentax K110D and I'm not too sure which SD card
to get for it.
I've been looking at SanDisk and I quite like the look of the Extreme
III (2GB) but I'm not too sure if the camera will do the card justice.
Nikon vs Canon Lenses03 Oct 2006 18:05 GMT23
First forget about the very expensive L Canon lenses and the very
expensive and fast Nikon Lenses.  Also forget about the real cheapos
from each company.

Here is the respectable HK seller. Some prices are 30% less than you
would have to pay normally in your country. How come the older LX1 is
A$578, while the newer LX2 is A$607 ? Does this mean that people like

Outdoor Photographer/Shutterbug Magazine     back issue article question03 Oct 2006 09:45 GMT1
There was an article in a recent issue of Outdoor Photographer or
Shutterbug Magazines in which the authors used photoshop to enhance
the washed out sky background of a photo. There was a barn in the
center, and they enhanced the sky colors.
