20 Years and Still Going11 Oct 2006 05:20 GMT73
Have you noticed how many of these digital cameras break down or go wonky in
such a short time. Although I have a D-70, my old FM2 is still chugging away
perfectly after 20 years.......any comments>
Best Program for Creating Panorama Prints?11 Oct 2006 04:49 GMT11
I'm looking for an easy to use, inexpensive, program for making
panoramas or 3 or more prints.
I tried the merge feature in Photoshop Elements but it doesn't do
satisfactory blending and the resulting picture shows obvious breaks.

Raw conversion and gamma correction10 Oct 2006 22:32 GMT1
As someone who still works analog, but is more and more thinking about
switching, I would like to understand the following: When you develop a
12 bit raw file into a 16 bit tif is there a 2.2 gamma correction
applied at this stage? If so, the advantage should be to have more

I'm getting conflicting information on the compatabliltiy with the D50 and
the 70-200 f/2.8 VR lens.  Several sources are telling me that it should

this facility, but it has ceased working. I either get ...

Hey Canon!! -Take a cue from Nikon!!10 Oct 2006 10:06 GMT33
As a Canon guy, I must say that Nikon just set a good example for Canon by
releasing a VERY extensive firmware upgrade for the D2X, D200 and D2Hs.
Changes include major differences including more ISO choices, menu changes,
and more functionality to buttons.
