Slide Scanning Services?19 Oct 2006 16:43 GMT10
A friend had a large batch (over 1000 slides) scanned over a year ago,
and was really happy with both the price (under $1 per slide) and the
service.  The service was located nearby, the slides could be hand
delivered and picked up (no worries about them being lost in the
Why are MF/LF scanning backs so expensive?19 Oct 2006 15:46 GMT23
Is there really more to them than the stuff that goes in a good flatbed scanner?
Thanks.
Canon 5D vs. Medium Format (Film)19 Oct 2006 13:03 GMT187
I know this discussion has been beaten to a pulp, but why not ask some
things that I hope haven't been touched upon so much...
1) So the "resolution" has been the objective/scientific evidence that
the 5D is as good as medium format.  Then again, Rafe or Rafe B?
Nikon D200 SB800 18-20019 Oct 2006 09:20 GMT5
I have a Nikon D200, a Flash SB800 and the new 18-200 Nikon zoom. When
I take photos with the SB800, all automatic modes, there is a huge
under exposure (-2/3 ev). Has anyone experienced this?
Thanks in advance,
I am getting SOOOOO f*cking hot watching Brandy and Kathy argue19 Oct 2006 08:34 GMT5
My dick has been like concrete rebar since I started browsing that
other read where Brandy Alexandre and Kathy M get into it. If their
dispute turns into a no-holes barred bra-n-panties tickle-fight I swear
I will splooge all over my keyboard.

PING Naughty Boy: I can find a woman's G-spot in 5 SECONDS FLAT19 Oct 2006 06:34 GMT1
I know exactly where to look, my friend. All I need is two fingers (and
sometimes a Maglight and salad tongs if necessary).
Dismantling Sony DSC-P200 lens?19 Oct 2006 06:23 GMT1
I have this Sony with the classical stuck lens and "turn off and turn on"
message.
I have successfully repaired couple of Canon E18 lenses, but this Sony lens
package looks a bit more complicated and before I do trial and error on this

Large Photo Size/Printing etc19 Oct 2006 05:47 GMT9
I've got an image that i want to enlarge, and then print off in sections in
colour A4, and stick together to produce an image roughly 36"x36" as i
cannot find anyone who can print the entire image for a reasonable price.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to achieve this ...

There are two ways to spell Ockham/Occam.  Britannica prefers the former.

Online Sharing sites19 Oct 2006 02:30 GMT7
I'm looking for a site where I can upload my pictures and let others
download them as jpgs for their own personal use. I'm a member of
snapfish, photowiki, webshot, and a million other sites but nobody
seems to offer this feature - you can order prints but never just
Lens dilema19 Oct 2006 00:52 GMT18
I'm using a Canon 1DMkIIN and my main lens is a 24-105mm L. I'm very happy
with this setup for most of my work. When I need a longer focal length I
currently rely on my 70-500mm Sigma, which has served me adequately in the
past. However, I would like to invest in a better piece ...
best lens for 400d19 Oct 2006 00:45 GMT13
I have read on a number of sites that the lens that comes with the 400d
is not that great. Can anyone recommend a good all round general photo
lens for the 400d ?

Availability of Nikon D80 and 18-200 VR lens18 Oct 2006 22:20 GMT10
I want to buy the Nikon D80 together with the new 18-200mm VR lens, but
they both seem hard to find (or overpriced), especially the lens.
Anyone know when they will be available at reasonable prices (at or
below MSRP)?
