| Noise Ninja | 20 Oct 2006 09:54 GMT | 20 |
While I am generally happy with my Panasonic DMCLX1, the noise at higher ISO is really getting to me. Is Noise Ninja worthwhile, and can it be used without Photoshop? I'm not certain what they mean by 'stand alone.'

| Edited JPEG Metadata in XP sometimes not "sticking". | 20 Oct 2006 02:57 GMT | 1 |
Using the picture viewer in Windows XP, if you right click on a picture or thumbnail, then click on the "properties" tab, you can go in an edit various picture information such as "Title", "Subject", etc. For some of my JPEG files this information "sticks" and for others it

I have a Lumix DMC-FZ7 and have been shopping around for a spare battery. At a site called bestbatt.com I found a third-party battery for $11.25, which is far cheaper than anything else I've seen. I'm just wondering if it's any good, and if anyone has experience with ultra-cheap ...

| Washington Monument | 19 Oct 2006 22:27 GMT | 10 |
Perhaps it is foolish to bother photographing something like the Washington Monument which everybody else has already done. Nevertheless, after looking through the first 15 pages of results for "Washington Monument" at images.google.com,

| Curves and unity gamma | 19 Oct 2006 19:39 GMT | 7 |
My very basic question concerns the use of curves in digital print preparation and I´m asking it as someone who is as much interested in visual perception as in photography but has not that much knowledge of the latter. As I understand it the negative-positive process strives to

| Pocket camera | 19 Oct 2006 19:21 GMT | 4 |
I've got an EOS 350D, and I'm very happy with it. But I'd like something I can carry around all the time. The most important requirement is that it be small and light; ideally it should fit in a coat pocket.

| What's the Difference Between Aperture Setting, Exposure Compensation, and ISO? | 19 Oct 2006 18:35 GMT | 6 |
I'm not a left-brained (or is it right-brained?) technical type, and it seems all aspects of digital and traditional photography basically all deal with how much light is allowed into, and then captured successfully or unsuccessfully, by a camera. I've searched the
