Hey, I have a qustion.
I have heard that the older "Maxxum" Minolta lenses will work in the new
Sony model. Does anyone know if they are referring to the 35 mm film
lenses?
questions about memory cards26 Sep 2006 16:35 GMT9
I've had several of these fail. Suddenly the card has 0 pictures, when
it had 300.  (this is an HP camera). What can be done to recover the
photos that were on the card, but have vanished? Also, the camera seems
to have problems, eg. the "back button" doesn't always work (seems heat

Memory for Fuji S700026 Sep 2006 10:46 GMT6
I have one and there seems to be a great deal of controversy in what
memory you can and can't use in it. Even that Steves site isn't sure.
It takes and comes with XD. It also uses microdrive and CF cards.
Nobody seems to be sure how large of a card this camera can see. Some
Printing quality involved with digital vs. film26 Sep 2006 10:35 GMT5
I started a topic recently on MF vs. a digital camera with more mp's
such as the 5D or 1DSMKII.  One thing I should have mentioned is the
printing technique.  So we take the MF setup since that needs scanning

Using the Sony DSC-R1 with a wide angle adapter26 Sep 2006 06:55 GMT4
I'm considering buying the 0.8 wide angle adapter. I found that the
adapter has no front threads for filters. Sony tech support says to put
the filters between the camera and the adapter. My question is, if I use
a filter between the camera and the adapter will it vignette when ...

filter size question26 Sep 2006 03:03 GMT8
I have a Canon S3 with a 52mm front thread.  I'm looking to buy a couple of
ND filters and have some concerns about vignetting if they are stacked.  I'm
also considering a telephoto adapter with a 55mm thread, forcing me  to get
a 52-->55 step up ring.
