I have been following the numerous topics on how many pixels we will get to with interest but I have a question which doesn't quite fit in. It just occured to me that you could obtain the same pictures by using a slightly larger sensor and moving it further from the lens.

I am now the proud owner of the Canon EOS350D. I also have my old Pentax AF200S Dedicated Flash used on film photography. I would like to use this until I can upgrade Specifications state that it will operate on any Hot Shoe Camera.

Question for those who are more technically inclined than I am... What is the likelihood that Canon will eventually mass produce APS-C (ie 1.6x crop) sensors that can handle 16 megapixels? 22 megapixels? Or will there come a point where it's no longer realistic to cram so
