Button popped out of Canon Powershot S330 Digital Elph?07 Sep 2006 17:41 GMT4
My daughter dropped her Canon Powershot S330 Digital Elph camera. It
was a short drop of a foot or so onto a not so hard surface. She turned
the camera on and it still came on. She put the camera away believing
she got lucky. One day a few days later she found this little stainless

Ixus 60 zoom with movies07 Sep 2006 05:56 GMT4
Using my new Cannon Ixus 60 (which I gather is confusingly called a
Powershot 60 in the USA?), I've recently started experimenting with
its video facility. But I'm confused about 2 aspects of its usage,
which I couldn't resolve by reading the 'Advanced user guide' PDF.
My pix  selected for publishing-Scam?07 Sep 2006 04:50 GMT11
I received a letter stating that one of my digital photographs has been
selected for publication by the International Library of Photography, Owings
Mills, MD, and that I could purchase the book that the photograph will
appear in for $69.95 + $8.00 p&h if I choose.
printing without tab07 Sep 2006 03:10 GMT4
I'm trying out printing digital pictures for the first time and things
are going reasonably well, except I'm not entirely sure what the tab
is. My printer properties allow me to select paper of various sizes
including borderless 4x6 with tab, so I assume the tab is a strip of
Vector graphic request07 Sep 2006 02:23 GMT7

format.
I have one from a commercial source, but it neither of two programs I
have access to can read it.  I am guessing it is a very old format

What would you recommend as an easy to use app for putting a gallery on
the web?
Easy enough for a computer novice!

Hello--
I am currently using a Canon 350D. Within the next year to 18 months, I
plan on upgrading to a full-frame sensor, perhaps the 5D replacement
(if there is one--I am waiting to see what Canon announces at

Need help spending $3000...06 Sep 2006 23:17 GMT29
I've decided to take the plunge and purchase a dSLR camera body and a
set of lenses.  This is just strictly for hobby, although a serious
one.  My former roommate was a semi-pro photographer, so I know what
I'm getting myself into.  After months of deliberating, the committee
elementary books on lighting06 Sep 2006 20:25 GMT4
Any recommendations to learn basics of lighting for portraits, etc.?  I am
not a professional and do not intend to invest large amounts of money on
lighting equipment.  I'm looking for ways to get good results inexpensively.
Hope there is such a thing.  Thanks.
advanced super-zoom vs. digital SLR... what should I get?06 Sep 2006 20:13 GMT20
I'm looking to take a step up to a more serious digital camera and I'm
trying to decide how far I want to go.  The big decision is whether to
go with an advanced super-zoom camera (like the Sony DSC-H5) or to go
all the way to a digital SLR.  The step up in price to the digital SLR
why only one camera with 15x zoom?06 Sep 2006 20:05 GMT11
The Samsung Digimax Pro815 is equipped with a 15X optical zoom with a
focal length of 28 - 420mm [35mm equivalent].
Looks like it is the only camera with a 15x zoom.  Why is that?
The Lumix FZ30 has a 12x (35-420mm); a 28 - 420mm would've been nicer.
