Canon ip6000D help?08 Sep 2006 17:18 GMT2
Canon's support site is completely useless - I can't even find a mention of the
card reader in their knowledge base... :P
So I figure I'll try r.p.d's knowledge base instead :)
The driver (for XP Pro) includes a little utility that, IIRC, is used to change
Canon: Digital Rebel XT vs Powershot S208 Sep 2006 16:59 GMT22
I want to understand whether there is SIGNIFICANT difference between
pictures quality in Canon XT and Canon Poweshot S2 Point-and-Shot
cameras. I'm using the later right now and somehow unhappy with the
results (too much noise, unsharp images etc). I'm not a pro (though use

I am going to make the move to get back into photography, and am going

I've shot community league games and found that even shooting at high ISO's,
I'm woefully lacking light.  I'm hoping the high school will have a ...

Printing software08 Sep 2006 14:32 GMT6
I am looking for a better, but still free, photo printing option.
My Pixma ip5000 printer was supplied with Canon's Easy-PhotoPrint
application.  I find it difficult to give an honest appraisal of this
application without resorting to offensive language.  Suffice it to say that
Riverfire - but just snapshots...08 Sep 2006 10:29 GMT1
I took my camera down to the riverside, knowing nothing about what to
expect..  Found a pretty awful location (O;, set up the tripod and
fired away...

Fuji Finepix S5600 (S5200 in USA) or Kodak Z650?
Both similar spec and price - which would you choose?

Digital Photo Security08 Sep 2006 06:38 GMT30
All:
I was wondering if anyone is aware of any efforts on the part of
digital camera manufacturers to establish any kind of baseline
technology for photo authentication (something that would allow an
Still wobbling a bit . . .07 Sep 2006 23:17 GMT7
. . .on my sea-legs as I ease my way into the the realm of digital
photography. I was given a 4mp SLR a few months ago and although I was
able to, somewhat, fall back on my analogue experience I'm still
plodding my way through this brand new techno-experience. This site has
Lens Suggestion for Italy Trip07 Sep 2006 22:50 GMT9
My wife and I are going on a tour of Italy for two weeks :) !!!
I have the Olympus E330 with these lenses: 11-22, 14-54, 18-180,
40-150 and the 1.4TC. Our last long vacation was the Canadian Rockies
and the 11-22 was the most useful. I realize that most of the places
Canon EOS 350D replacement this year?07 Sep 2006 19:00 GMT3
Been planning to get the 350D for a few months, but heard recently that
a new series of digital SLRs from major manufacturers may be released
this Autumn. I see Nikon have got one coming. Anyone know about Canon's
plans?
deleting shot seizes 30D07 Sep 2006 18:55 GMT1
I am using a Sandisk Ultra II 2GB CF in my Canon 30D.  Twice now when I have
been deleting individual shots with the camera "Image Protected" appears on
the LCD and the camera freezes - it just seizes up.  (BTW both times I have
already deleted several shots before the problem ...
Image counter on the screen07 Sep 2006 18:44 GMT13
One of my users requires a digital camera to use at events and she
needs it to display on the screen the number of pictures she has taken
so far... so it would say PIC 220 or something like that...
They have used a SONY camcorder in the past, hardly ideal but it did
