Looking for a new ultracompact camera11 Sep 2006 18:40 GMT16
My Minolta Xt's battery is gradually dying, and I'm thinking of using
it as an excuse to replace it. Unfortunately, KonicaMinolta seem to
have lost the plot somewhat in ultracompacts, so I'm looking at the
Panasonic FX01 and Sony T9.

Keystone correction11 Sep 2006 18:11 GMT21
I'm finding that I'm taking pictures that need keystone corrections
(album covers as I convert my LPs to CD).  One of my digital cameras
can do keystone corrections, but it doesn't always detect the correct
edges which leads to distorted images.  So I'm wondering what, if any,
Nikon D-5011 Sep 2006 17:50 GMT4
There has been little here on the D-50 either from the construction
quality stand point or picture quality and prints.
Anyone have some personal experience to share, please?

Panasonic DMC-FX01 for Cycling11 Sep 2006 15:24 GMT8
I'm considering upgrading from my Oly Stylus 600 to the new Lumix
DMC-FX01 and was wondering if anyone would think this little camera
would hold up rugged use of this sort? Specifically, would it withstand
the humidity (it would get some serious condensation from persperation)
Canon 30D or 350D?11 Sep 2006 15:21 GMT40
Currently having S2 compact, going to DSLR - which one to choose ? Or is it
unfair comparison ?
Any suggestions--

REMOTE FLASH11 Sep 2006 14:07 GMT4
I'd like to get a small flash unit for those
"large group in dark reception hall" photos.
Can anyone recommend an inexpensive
"slave flash"  ( triggered by the camera flash )
Transforms Your Digital Photos Into Beautiful, Professional Quality Pictures11 Sep 2006 14:00 GMT13
If you want to take excellent, professional looking photos of the
things you love with your digital camera and have them turn out with
perfect clarity and superb detail and depth, every single time, as if a
professional photographer has taken them with just your ordinary
Unclogging printer11 Sep 2006 13:00 GMT28
Someone has donated an Epson 2200 that has been out of use for quite a
while maybe a year or more. I can't get it to produce a good nozzle
check pattern despite many cleanings. I suppose it is clogged; status
monitor says all the carts are above 20% full. Is this something worth
Shooting the Moon - Canon EOS Rebel XT11 Sep 2006 13:00 GMT11
The moon was really low and large last night so I tried to shoot it
with my new Rebel XT. Using both auto-focus and manual-focus, the moon
itself appears hazy and blurry while the rest of the picture looks
perfectly clear. Now that I think about it, maybe I needed to use a

Olympus FE-190 or Cannon Powershot SD60011 Sep 2006 06:02 GMT3
I'm in a quandary as to what new digital camera to purchase. I'm
leaning towards the Olympus FE-190 but I hear that the Canon Powershot
SD600 has better quality images. the Olympus FE-190 is a new model that
just came out in late August so there are not very many user reviews
