Nikon 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G, Hot, or Not?12 Sep 2006 19:22 GMT23
It seems the Nikon 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G AF-S VR DX lens is in great demand,
and hard to get.  Dealers have them on back-order, eBay is asking high
prices.
Is this lens really "all that"?  It would be nice to have a one-does-all

Will external battery pack work with a Canon A300?12 Sep 2006 16:11 GMT11
I need to get an inexpensive digital camera that will take pretty
good pictures for email and other internet transmission.  I don't
anticipate ever wanting to print out a picture.
If my notes are right, Wal-Mart sells the old Canon A300 for $78.

Olympus SP-500UZ Verses Canon PowerShot S2IS12 Sep 2006 05:38 GMT1
I'm after the advise as to the pros and cons for the two above cameras.
I'm travelling overseas next year, so I'm looking at buying one for
around the $500AU mark and wonder how these two come up.  I've used

Fast SD Cards?12 Sep 2006 02:19 GMT8
I have a Panasonic Lumix FZ30. I want to start shooting in RAW format.
However, it takes forever for these 16 meg file to write to my 1-Gig SD

Thx.
Help - in China with a new  Sony Cybershot T3 and no manual12 Sep 2006 01:47 GMT3
I don't know if I am in the correct group, but I'm hoping someone can help
me.  I had my Nikon CoolPix and my Dell laptop stolen while here in China.
I've replaced the camera with a Sony Cybershot T3 (same as T33 in the
states) but it has only a Chinese manual.  It's a 5 mega ...

Pentax K series SLR image quality?11 Sep 2006 22:25 GMT6
Over on dpreview, the *ist DS was criticized for lack of image quality from
out of the camera jpeg. Shooting raw was the way to go with this one. Seeing
the side by side test with competing Canon and Nikon showed the lower
resolution jpegs that were much improved in raw mode. I'm ...
