Bayer mosaic filter array question26 Aug 2006 15:51 GMT14
The figures in most documentation, that depicts the Bayer filter array,
show the green filter elements as green, the red as red and the blue as
blue.  Is that true in reality?  Are the green ones really green?  For
the purposes of this question let's say they it's true.

Re: Getting my Nikon D50 to display pictures I edited and outside the camera?26 Aug 2006 09:34 GMT1
So I finally tried using the TVWriter program recommended below, but the
edited pictures still won't display in my Nikon D50 (they mostly display

Any other suggestions?
Any chance of me fixing my broken Minolta A1?26 Aug 2006 08:16 GMT2
My Minolta A1 has started playing up.  Either the screen goes white
(and the pictures come out white) or the screen is OK but when I take
the pictures they come out with lines going through them.  I presume
paying someone to repair it would work out at more than I could pick
Pentax Optio W10 cleaning26 Aug 2006 07:54 GMT5
I have a Optio W10. Very nice to use it on the beach, boat or
swimming.
But the front glass gets easily dirty with sea water and then it is
very difficult to clean it while you are outdoor.

canon 5.6 400mm is?26 Aug 2006 06:04 GMT7
as i recollect there was mention of a canon f5.6 400mm is "L" lens ...
was that so much conjecture or shipping product? if so i'd like one -
it would be the right size and i find that the canon rebel xt and 5d
iso 800 are so noise free that i don't feel the 'need for speed' ...

Watch where you point that thing26 Aug 2006 00:47 GMT24
I stood on my son's side porch and shot about 5 seconds of video showing the
cars in the driveway.  I got down to ground level and shot a few seconds of
video showing a few more cars and his house. I do this because I know years
from now we'll get a kick out of seeing what we ...

Strap or Hitch to Hold Camera for Quick Access25 Aug 2006 20:22 GMT3
I am looking for a device to hold a small digital camera (Canon
Powershot A520) securely but allowing quick access. At one time,
someone described to me a device he called a "Cuban Hitch" which was
some sort of strap arrangement that held the camera tightly against the
