Mack Warranty for Canon S8003 Aug 2006 14:55 GMT4
I just purchased a refurbished Canon S80. I saw an offer for a 5 year
warranty from a company called "Mack". Never heard of them and I'm
wondering if anyone has any experience with them or can speak of their
credibility. The deal seems too good to be true(and you know what that
Underwater photography help please03 Aug 2006 14:42 GMT17
I need to find a relatively inexpensive (as I doubt I'll use it that much)
underwater camera, something that I can use diving in the Caribbean - I've
never dived before so the depths will be shallow I guess - I might do a PADI
course while I'm there but don't anticipate anything ...
recommend a digital camera under £150 incl about 256meg memory card03 Aug 2006 12:45 GMT6
I'm asking this for my dad, who's not going to be too pleased with a
fiddly camera.  Can you recommend a digital camera under £150 when the
necessary memory card is bought too.  We want, I think, at least a 4
megapixel camera, not a cheap lens.  There shouldn't be too much fiddly
Ultra fast compact flash?03 Aug 2006 11:16 GMT5
I have ordered Canon 350D. What are the benefits of using an ultra
fast Compact flash memory card please? Am I correct in saying that it
only comes into play when I transfer photos to/from the camera. Can I
just use the normal CF which are much cheaper?

Kodak v550 strange sd card behavior03 Aug 2006 00:33 GMT7
got this camera just a month ago. Popped in the 512MB Scandisk SD card
which has been used for another camera without any problems. After the
first try, the camera automatically detect and asks to format. Chose
format but it kept telling it couldn't. Eventually I tried the manual
Recommendation for Photo Software03 Aug 2006 00:04 GMT10
Hi, new to this group so my first post.  I have a lot of old pictures
saved to disk and my computer.  The pictures are old and very small in
size.  Is there a software program that I can buy and use to enlarge
these small pictures without losing the detail?  I am retired so my

Pictures of Documents02 Aug 2006 21:27 GMT9
I have a special project I am in charge of for work.  The process
involves reviewing Medical Records and taking copies of the pages I
need.  The Records are bound so getting the 5 pages I need from a 50
page document is cumbersome.  To date, I have been marking the pages I
Canon 400mm F4 IS?02 Aug 2006 20:48 GMT26
Anyone else think that a Canon 400mm F4 IS is missed in the Canon range?
Of course they have the DO, however the price is pretty steep at £3500+ and
the image quality is disputed.

Threading question: any camera lens thread compatible with C/CS Mount Lenses?02 Aug 2006 14:20 GMT5
I'm not concerned with back focal length - I'm just looking for body
caps for C or CS-Mount cameras!  All the body caps I find are for Canon
EOS, or Leica M, or ....
Are any of these threads 1" x 32 TPI (the standard for C and CS-Mount
