| Quiet digital camera? | 19 Aug 2006 06:41 GMT | 15 |
I like to shoot people who aren't posing for the camera. But a noisy shutter makes my subjects nervous. Which digital cameras are most quiet? Any price range.

| D70 Exposure Bracketing | 19 Aug 2006 04:22 GMT | 6 |
The D70 gives a range of exposure bracketing from -2EV to +2EV with numerous increments in between. Assuming that I want "one under, one over, and one right on" what determines whether I go in steps of 1/3, 1/2, or a full EV?

| I Can't Understand Why Everyone Has Gone Full Frame Crazy | 19 Aug 2006 03:11 GMT | 88 |
Well, with the exception of very wide angle photographers, I can't understand why everyone has gone full frame crazy. Mmm, no thanks. For example, how much would a EF 480mm f4.0 L IS USM cost? Well, with a cropped sensor camera, around £875 for the 300mm. The price for a EF ...

| EXIF info | 18 Aug 2006 23:20 GMT | 17 |
I read somewhere in one of these newsgroups about making sure your name is included in the EXIF information when taking a picture. I have a Canon Digital Rebel and wondered where in the menu I would go to set that up.

| Canon EF-S 17-55 f2.8 IS...Comments Please... | 18 Aug 2006 19:20 GMT | 6 |
I'm contemplating buying the new EF-S 17-55 f2.8 IS lens from Canon. I'll be using it on a 30D. If you have any comments to make about the lens's optical or mechanical performance, I'd sure like to hear them before I buy.

| Why do polariser filters take away two stops of light? | 18 Aug 2006 17:18 GMT | 7 |
At least that is the case with the HTMC coated filters from Hama I'm using. Or are there high quality coated polariser filters which do not take away so much light?

| D70 write speeds. | 18 Aug 2006 16:44 GMT | 3 |
I have a D70 which has been flashed with the v2 firmware. Just as a matter of interest what is the write speed of the D70 to the CF card? I'm currently using a Lexar x80 card but would going even faster make a difference or, conversely, how slow could I go without

| Does it matter if you press the button halfway or instantly? | 18 Aug 2006 16:35 GMT | 24 |
I own a typical 5mp canon digital camera. When taking a shot, does it matter if you press the button halfway through before pressing it all the way or should I press it all the way down in one quick motion? I know it's a stupid question but I'm a newbie. The manual says when you
