PING: Panasonic FZ5 users: Indoor Action Pics - help!22 Aug 2006 22:45 GMT5
I'm looking to take indoor (i.e. low-light) action photos of my kids'
sports. Being an amateur photographer at best, I have no idea what the
best way to get great stop-action photos would be. I've mostly been using
my camera in Program mode, letting the camera take care of ...

Magic Photo is a photo editor
With Magic Photo, you can easily blend your digital photo onto another
image (a beautiful landscape image etc) to create special effect. It
makes your photo interesting and pretty.
Coolpix 2100 autofocus22 Aug 2006 19:35 GMT1
My daughter lost our Nikon Coolpix 2100 while on vacation.  We really
liked it, so I bought another one on eBay.  On our old one, when you
push the button half way down the camera focuses and then the AF LED
lights.  On the used one I just bought, nothing seems to happen when

Here's a story about a man arrested for tasking a picture of police
activity on his cellphone:

Read the story; several things don't make sense, not least of which is
Copying Images To CD Confusion22 Aug 2006 14:45 GMT6
As a recently deflowered digital virgin, who is barely on nodding terms with
Photoshop, I have a problem which I am sure you digital boffins out there,
will certainly be able to solve.
I have a number of colour transparencies (35mm to 6x12cm), colour and b/w
WB setting on DiMage 7Hi22 Aug 2006 07:47 GMT5
For some reason all the picture I take with my 7Hi are not really
bright.  I thought it was the WB setting and so I set it to "Auto".
But that doesn't seem to help.  Every picture, regardless of lighting
or flash is always really bright (seems b&w) as well.
resize multiple pictures22 Aug 2006 04:00 GMT6
After I have burned all the huge sized pictures from my camera to a CD,
I would like to re-size all of them-say 100 photos) down to a smaller
size.  any software I have you have to do them one at at time which is
very time consuming.  Is there any software that can resize multiple
Converting AVI's / Reducing Quality22 Aug 2006 03:44 GMT5
My new Canon A620 takes movies in AVI format.  I would like to take my
movies in the highest quality for viewing locally, but I would also
like to reduce the quality (and size if necessary) so that I can email
them or set links to them on my web site for others to view.
Catalog22 Aug 2006 01:11 GMT5
I hope there is someone out there who can help. As a Lions Club pin
trader I am planning to photograph my pin collection one pin at a time
and build a catalog with word or printmaster programs. However when I
take a picture on a pure white piece of paper, even though the image
Colour management driving me crazy22 Aug 2006 00:27 GMT31
My set up is Mac OS X, PS CS, Epson R800, Epson paper, Epson ink, I've
done all the right colour management things, got profiles for
everything, but my mono prints are not even close to the PS proofs on
screen.

First DSLR - Canon 5D?21 Aug 2006 20:10 GMT33
I am tentatively planning a 2 wk trip to Japan in November, with
photography as the main objective/activity.  I've never owned a digital
camera but I'm ready to make the switch.
I'm tempted by the 5D, but mostly because it's FF and I can use my

Amateur seeking advice21 Aug 2006 19:41 GMT8
Hi there, This might be the wrong group but it seems like a very good
place to start. I'm a relative beginner planning to buy an SLR camera
in the next few weeks as I'm going to Canada in September - some of the
most beautiful scenery on the planet. I'd like some advice about the
