I need to replace my aging 21" Viewsonic Graphics Pro monitor (CRT) and
it looks like it's time to jump to LCDs ... both NEC and LaCie are now
specifying the % of AdobeRGB gamut their high end graphics models can
display and it looks like the ~70% gamut ones are in my price range

I decided that I wanted a camera withgh a high dynamic range. I found
such a camera -- it was Fujifilm FinePix F710. It had a Super CCD SR
sensor, which had a high-sensitivity pixel and a low-sensitivity pixel
at each photosite. Thus, it was said, it had a high dynamic range. The

WB Color Temperature in Kelvin to RGB pixels  values

I have been trying to nail down some terms and concepts.
Do Value, Brightness, and Luminance all refer to the same thing - that
is, the distance away from the tip of the color cone?

I'm an upper novice at best when it comes to digital cameras.  I have
an old sony (s75)that I was going to give her, but I think it has too
many features, buttons, ect.  Mom wants a camera that is easy to use.
She does not have a computer so I will have to edit and print so I

Is there any software that can check actual image files for damage, as
opposed to the disk surface,  on DVDs without looking at each one
individually on the monitor?

HI I've just got a new S80, and whilst looking at all the bells and
whistles I'm surprised I can't see an 'action' mode. What's the best
way to capture fast action? Set a high TV? Change the ISO?

Printing to 5"x7" paper with an Epson R30027 Jul 2006 16:26 GMT2
Hi, I'm using an Epson R300 (not connected to a computer) and would like to
print onto some 5"x7" (13cm x 18cm) paper but the printer only seems to have
the option of printing to 10cm x 15cm paper or to A4 paper.  Is there any
way possible to use 5"x7" paper with this printer?  ...

Does it make any difference whether a digital camera's body is silver or
black?
I ask because the Circuit City website is selling the Panasonic FZ7S for
$60 less than the FZ7K.  As far as I can tell, the only difference
