CD show07 Jul 2006 04:53 GMT1
I'm scanning old slides of my daughter and want to put together a CD or
2 so she can have these pictures for herself and her family. My
computer doesn't have a DVD burner.
Any suggestions for software that might make this a little more

Canon SD600 - Experiences?06 Jul 2006 22:44 GMT1
I just ordered one of these based on my past posiitive experiences with Canon and the reviews it recieved on the web.
Can anyone give me first hand experiences with this camera? Was it a good choice? I got it for $299, and it included a free
1GB SD memory card for free.

Inexpensive camera06 Jul 2006 21:51 GMT5
My wife wants an inexpensive, easy-to-use, digital camera.  In Best Buy I've
looked at the Fuji A400 and the Kodak C330 which each sells for $129.  I'm
leaning toward the Kodak as it looks to be the easiest to use.
Any comments on which camera is best between these two?

Digital P/S - lousy lens performance06 Jul 2006 18:34 GMT12
I was looking at the digital camera performance in the DPRP reviews on
http://www.dcresource.com/reviews/cameraList.php and I was surprised at
the barrel distortion that every camera seemed to experience. Perhaps
that's the nature of the beast with zoom lenses, but I would have

What resolution would a high street lab scan?06 Jul 2006 15:21 GMT19
My wife took a 35 mm colour print film into a high street lab and asked
for it to be developed, 3 sets of prints and scanned to CD. I did not
tell her what resolution I wanted them scanned at, but assumed they
would use something half reasonable.

Canon EF 28-135mm IS for indoor and mountains?06 Jul 2006 13:41 GMT2
I am thinking of the Canon EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS for my Canon D350.  I am
thinking of the upgrade for my upcoming wedding and a wildlife photo trip to
the Colorado mountains this summer.
Is this lens good as the "only" lens for both indoor portraits and outdoor

"Sports" Lens vs. Zeiss Lens (Canon PowerShot A620)06 Jul 2006 10:36 GMT20
I've posted here several times looking for help in a situation that
couldn't be helped.  I needed high resolution photographs--*big*
dimension, high resolution photographs--with a 4.1 HP camera.
Yesterday I bought a Canon PowerShot A620.  It's a 7.1 and cheap ($249
