I have abt 200 family photos of various formats.....
5x7, 4x6, 3x5, and smaller
I've decided I don't have time to scan them myself on a
flatbed scanner.

Digitizing slides with FZ30?07 Jul 2006 20:15 GMT8
I have a mountain of legacy slides that I was considering digitising. Is
it possible to do it with a digital camera rather than the conventional
scanner?
I had a tentative try with a 4x dioptre closeup lens, but can't get
keeping track07 Jul 2006 20:05 GMT7
First, although I should have posted in my original thread, thanks everyone
who responded to my canon rebel vs. 30D question. I have made my decision,
but would like to wait to let you know what I've decided until I can post my
first shots. Let me just hint that all your "good ...
Cannon Power Shot S3i - unuseable LCD in bright light?07 Jul 2006 18:43 GMT6
I've narrowed my choice of next camera model down the either the Panasonic
DMC FZ-7 or the S3i and am leaning towards the S3i (wont go into the why's
here).  My one major concern is that I have read dpreview.com forum posts
from owners of the Cannon model that the LCD display is ...

Resampling Question07 Jul 2006 16:32 GMT4
A Hewlett Packard tech support representative told me, about four
months ago, that since I was having such difficulty taking decent
photos with my little 4.1MP model, I should consider a photo editing
program.  One of his supervisors said I should buy Serif's PhotoPlus 6.
What Digital Canons Can You Use T90 Lenses With?07 Jul 2006 14:14 GMT6
Hi.  I've been posting here all week about a new Canon I just bought
(PowerShot A620).  Informed posters have been telling me that buying
the camera because of its pixel size was not the criterion, or not the
only criterion, I should have considered for buying a low-end camera.
Anyone have any views on the camera?07 Jul 2006 14:09 GMT30

It is quite a large reduction, but was it ever worth it at full price?!
I made a totally duff choice with my last digital camera, so I'm looking for
another.  Ideally I want one that can take competent photos indoors ...
Choosing Between the Canon Rebel XT and the 30D07 Jul 2006 13:53 GMT14
Hey there,
I am deciding between these two cameras.  I have to say that price
isn't the most important thing here, but value is- and utility.
I have already checked out the pro's and cons that have been discussed
successor canon 350D07 Jul 2006 13:47 GMT5
Does anyone know when Canon will launch a successor for the EOS 350D?
Decision on a point & shoot camera07 Jul 2006 13:38 GMT9
I want to purchase a pocket sized point and shoot digital camera so it is
easy to keep in my purse.  My main concern is the lag time betweet pictures.
I would like one that has a minimal delay. I also would like to spend the
least possible for what I want in a quality camera for ...
same ol', same ol' question.07 Jul 2006 12:04 GMT8
I've have been away from photography for a few years - sold all my SLR
equipment and want to go digital..............a few requirements:
RAW,TIFF, Image Stabilization, 12X Zoom,  although I probably won't
require  anything higher than 300mm.........no more SLR  - this is just
Recomendations for good (cheap of free) SlideShow Programme07 Jul 2006 11:04 GMT2
Having recently gone on a trip and with lots of pictures of same I want to
burn CD / DVD to produce a 'slideshow'. Open to suggestions but seems like a
good programme would need to set variable times (perhaps longer if title
slide with some text) variable transitions, break up into ...
