| Old, Excellent Cameras: Can They "Translate" to Digital? | 08 Jul 2006 09:38 GMT | 8 |
Here I go again. After exchanging my Canon PowerShot A620 for a Kodak E650 this morning (because, at 6.1, it lost a million megapixels but gained 7X optical zoom), my aged mother pointed out to me that I had a father who attended one of the most prestigious art schools on the East

Any recommendations for a lens under $200 (maybe up to $300) that's a good all around lens. I'm looking for something flexible to take on vacation so I'm not lugging a lot of lenses. Something long enough to shoot the occassional little league game from a distance (I understand ...

| Nikon D50 with older Speedlight | 08 Jul 2006 05:25 GMT | 6 |
I have a Speedlight SB26, which I use with a Coolpix 995. This can only be used in anything like auto exposure by using the sensor on the camera's own built-in Speedlight. The SB26 has to be used on a proprietary bracket and shoe, because the Coolpix has no flash shoe.

Is there someplace on the web where I might still find an MTF diagram for a discontinued Canon lens? I'd like to compare the old 17-35mm f2.8L with the current 16-35mm f/2.8L USM.

| Tripod Recommendations? | 08 Jul 2006 01:03 GMT | 5 |
I seem to have narrowed it down to the Quantaray Ultra-Pro (only $99) at Ritz. I want something light, durable, but most importantly can extend to over 6 feet high. This seems to do the trick. Any suggestions?

| Weston Master V Light Meter | 07 Jul 2006 23:49 GMT | 8 |
Yup...a VERY old light meter. I need a case for it. The case that came with it is evidently for an older model as it lack the little 'door' in back so the light-sensing element can 'see'. Does any one have an idea where I can get the right case for a Weston Master
