Mono- or Tri-21 Jul 2006 03:23 GMT3
I have a 350D and a Sigma 70-300 APO DG lens (+ extension tubes).  This lens
is used for close-ups - insects, plants, and long distance (birds).  I have
no experience of monopods and only a little with tripods. Any thoughts as to
which would better suit my needs?

Does anybody know if there are any recalls on SD cards by any
manufacturer. A coworker thinks his SD card is overheating and drawing
excessive power from his camera.  Here is only one link that I found,
but that is for a GPS handheld.

Colour management with inkjet printers20 Jul 2006 05:47 GMT15
I'm working my way through Dan Margulis's Professional Photoshop book, which
is heavily geared towards colour correction using curves. I have acheived
some excellent results using his techniques, but I am a little confused

Camera cleaning and extended warranties20 Jul 2006 04:23 GMT8
Hello!  I just got a miniDV camcorder and am considering an extended
warranty.  I wonder if it would be worth it even if the camera doesn't
develop any problems just to be able to get it cleaned every year? - or
would I be able to clean the machine's heads, etc. as well as a ...
Canon EF lens mount mechanical specifications20 Jul 2006 02:41 GMT2
Are there any mechanical specifications for the Canon EF lens mount?  Or is
this something that third parties have to reverse engineer?
My immediate need is to know the angle between the red dot index mark on
the mount and the top of the lens when the lens is locked in place.
