does a fast CF card really help?  (with Canon Rebel XT)25 Jun 2006 21:13 GMT7
In the manual of the Canon Rebel XT, there doesn't seem to be any
mentioning of a fast memory card would help.   That is, if the camera
writes data at a certain standard speed, then using a Sandisk Ultra II
or Extreme will not make the write speed any faster.
Re: Any experience with J and K Cameras?25 Jun 2006 19:39 GMT1
They are a camera reseller working out of a warehouse in Brooklyn.  They have been doing business on eBay since 2002 and appear to be very honest.  Some statistics and research are below.

BP511 Battery Problem on Canon G525 Jun 2006 19:37 GMT5
I have had a Canon G5 for almost three years with the same battery, and
up until recently it held its charge. It typically gave enough life to
take several hundred frames when fully charged.  Then the camera was
used for an extended period of time where the battery was fully

Which RAW converter?25 Jun 2006 19:00 GMT11
As a newcomer (i.e. within the last week) to RAW, I am trying to decide
which converter to use. I've tried both Rawshooter Essentials and the Adobe
converter that comes with Elements, but don't feel that I've come to grips
sufficiently with either to be able to make a decision. ...

I am looking for a simple program that will scan a directory of images,
display them, and allow me to sort them into two categories (yes and

How do use Nikon CLS to improve your images?25 Jun 2006 15:07 GMT18
I currently own one  Nikon SB800 and I'm trying to decide whether to
get a second SB800.  On various websites and forums, people post how
they have 3, 4, and sometimes more of these speedlights.
What isn't clear to me is exactly HOW Nikon CLS is better.  And I've
Nikon Micro Nikkor 105mm f/2.8 VR vs. Micro Nikkor 105mm f/2.8D25 Jun 2006 14:43 GMT3
After using the new Micro Nikkor 105mm f/2.8 VR for almost two weeks and
pitting it against the tried and true classic Micro Nikkor 105mm f/2.8D I
came to the following conclusions.  For me, I like both equally well and
would never part with either one.

I have Canon G5.  I also have a new baby who changes almost every day.
Apparently G% doest not put date on photos. Canon suggests to put dates
manually (and I am making a lot of pictures :) ). Could somebody
suggest me some software which can stamp dates on the photos
QT movies with Lumix?25 Jun 2006 11:12 GMT3
Hello all. I have a Panasonic Lumix FZ30. You can shoot 30fps QT video with
it, and they replay on the camera fine. However, when I try to play the
movies on my computer they play very jerky for a few frames, then freeze.
The manual says videos may not play well outside of the ...

supposed to be better???? I find that the resolution is the same as
before, when one "focuses" in on a location, the picture becomes
blurred when you get closer, what does "better resolution" mean? Sid

How To Choose Digital Camera Printers
The digital camera is not meant only for capturing images and storing
them on the computer memory disks. The real effect comes from the hard
