Advice on PnS Digicam?09 Jun 2006 23:57 GMT1
I've been to Steve's Digicam site, and what I was wondering was real
world user opinions on a couple of compact digicams and maybe some
alternatives.  Right now, I'm thinking Sony Cybershot DSC100, the
Nikon CP S5 or S6, and maybe a Casio EXS600.  All these cameras have
Slimming camera09 Jun 2006 23:42 GMT3
If it sounds too good to be true, you'll be surprised by the newest
gadget on the market. It's a digital camera from HP called the
"photosmart R 927." The camera has special software that includes a
slimming feature. It compresses or slims the middle of the picture and

Recent flood of sporgeries containing headers pointing to the imagenoir.com domain09 Jun 2006 21:45 GMT29
I am the owner of the imagenoir.com domain. The sporgeries are
completely unrelated to my networks, or any of my domains, & the
references to my domain are faked.

Anyone try the new Tameron 200 to 500?09 Jun 2006 20:41 GMT4
Yes, I know it's off brand, but has any one tried one yet?
I played around with one on the D-70 and yes the metering and
autofocus of the F-6.3 worked just fine.
I'm wondering just how sharp they are.  I've seen some small snapshots
How reliable is Image Stablization Systems?09 Jun 2006 20:41 GMT8
I now see that Image Stablization seems to be the next hot thing in
photography.  Now the new Sony100 DSLR actually has it built into the camera
body (kind of cool).
My question is, how reliable are these IS systems that seem to be popping up

SanDisk Ultra II 1gb SD Card Box09 Jun 2006 17:54 GMT4
Does anyone have a box from a genuine SanDisk Ultra II 1gb SD card?
My (almost certainly fake) one just turned up and on the back it says
68 pictures at 5mp uncompressed and 145 compressed. That doesnt sound
right to me. What does a genuine box say?

Has anyone had experience with the new Nikon 18-200 VR DX lens with extension tubes? I'm interested in doing some macro photography and I know that some lenses perform better than others with extension tubes. I don't own the lens currently but I'm considering a future purchase. I ...
