advice needed on quick digital14 Jun 2006 03:41 GMT6
Maybe I'm asking for too much...
I've had a canon for a few years and have been very happy with it, but my
problem is similar to many...the shutter delay.
Is there a compact digital out there that is noticably faster than the
Archiving/Backing up Photo Collection - CD's or DVD's?14 Jun 2006 01:58 GMT28
After a bad experience with a crashed hard
drive I feel its sensible to start backing up my photo collection on
some form of media. Could anyone suggest which is a better media to
back up my collection on? - CD or DVD?. Additionally are there any
question about resolution output with Canon Rebel XT14 Jun 2006 00:58 GMT7
I'm sure I am missing some overly obvious answer here but I'm just
trying to understand how I can make images I take on my Canon Rebel XT
300 dpi instead of only 72 dpi.
I'm looking to have some images I've taken printed in a small magazine
Which Flash for Canon G313 Jun 2006 23:29 GMT4
I know my camera is a few years old, but I'm hoping someone can help me
find a good external flash for it.  I'm a real estate agent and I use
my camera for virtual tours and the like.  I often use my wide angle
lens to shoot pictures of tight spaces like bedrooms and bathrooms.
Is e-cost.com reliable?13 Jun 2006 23:19 GMT2
In checking the prices on a Nikon MB-CP11 battery pack for the CP8800 I find
e-cost's price much lower than the next lower vendor ($100 vs $150). Is
there some "gotcha" to this place, or can I safely order?
Thanks for any help.

Ideal Canon DIGI set ?13 Jun 2006 16:32 GMT11
I'm (still) doubting for a new set.
Although I won't buy it in one go, this would be the set I think would
be ideal (price taken in account)

SD card and reader question13 Jun 2006 15:40 GMT9
I've just purchased a Bytestor Multi-Card Reader for use with my Sandisk SD
card and FUJIFILM XD card.
The reader works perfectly and has no problem reading the cards. However, I
have noticed that it is leaving faint scratches on the gold strips of my SD
Canon G2 Remote operation13 Jun 2006 15:11 GMT2
I recently acquired a Canon G2. No software. I also have the USB
connection cord. Reading the literature about this camera I see that it
should be able to be controlled by a computer to get remote images
(similar to the S1IS). I would appreciate it if anyone can tell me what
Pixel shape - any advantage in 'non-square'?13 Jun 2006 14:42 GMT2
When you zoom and zoom in to a digital photo eventually you can see square
pixels, but would there be any advantage in 'rounding off' to something like
hexagonal shape? I believe this applies to Fuji sensors but what about
displaying as well as recording data in this format? I may ...
Splue.co.nr - A great new photography website!13 Jun 2006 08:57 GMT4
I recently stumbled upon, what I think is a really promising new
website called 'Splue Shot'. The website is designed to allow users to
Submit and View 'Original and Exciteing' Photos taken of our 'beautiful
planet' from 'every angle'! It's still in beta, but give them your
