Elements or Photoshop Which do you need?15 Jun 2006 21:47 GMT25
Which do you need to work with digital pictures?
I have read opinions on both in newsgroups.
Some say Photoshop is essential others that Elements
is all you need. I was at Chapters and they sell Element
card error15 Jun 2006 21:07 GMT3
Casio EX-S500 reads "card error" when turned on.  it is a 2 GB card.
There are dozens of photos still on card I would like to retrieve.
Is the card damaged beyond retrieval?
Thank you,

blotches not visible in the original:

Paint Shop Pro X, worth the upgrade?15 Jun 2006 17:36 GMT9
I have Paint Shop Pro 8 and 9. I'm thinking about getting PSP X, but reviews
(including short user reviews) of this new Corel version have been very
mixed, to say the least. Some reviewers regard it as superb and the best
version of PSP ever; others say Corel has ruined it and X ...

Amateur Question....15 Jun 2006 15:27 GMT14
My head is spinning from all the reviews I've been reading.  I want to know
if "Noise" is apparent to an amateur taking pictures?  I'm trying to decide
between the following cameras:
Canon PowerShot S3

Need to print low resolution photos15 Jun 2006 14:37 GMT12
For about a year (back in 1998) I used a Sony Mavica, boasting a
whopping 0.38 mexapixels.
I would like to print some of these photos, but at 4x6, they are quite
pixelated.  The photo size is around 640x480.
S/h Sony DSC-F707 or what please?15 Jun 2006 14:06 GMT5
My 15 yr old daughter is probably going to do summat in 'graphics'
(college)  as soon as she can get out of school.
She loves art and I think that's reflected in some of the images she
has captured with the little 'end-of-line' Fuji F420 I bought her a
Compact and SLR???15 Jun 2006 07:28 GMT25

Help!15 Jun 2006 07:17 GMT4
Sometime ago I downloaded a program that transfer my photos to flash
slide show.
Accidentally removed this program and don't know its name.
Would be pleased if anyone knows what it is or any similar program.
Problem with D70 and Capture Control15 Jun 2006 05:36 GMT13
Running Windows Server 2003 and Nikon Capture 4.4.
When the camera is set to "Mass Storage" it shows up fine as a USB
storage device.  When set to PTP, it's not detected by Windows and
Capture Control therefore fails to recognize that a camera is
Arrggh!  Why Wasn't The Canon 24-105 a 2.8?!?15 Jun 2006 04:07 GMT27
I really don't know what lens to go for.  Why couldn't Canon have made the
24-105 with a 2.8 aperture?  It would have made my life easy.  Now, after
many months of turmoil, I still can't decide on a lens!  Whatever I chose, I
will want a feature of another lens.

Visited Niarga Falls and got some great pictures, some taken from a
helicopter.  They can be viewed on Webshots.com.  Just search for user
