Does anyone know of a setting on the Canon S1 IS that is similar to a macro setting on other cameras. I'm not very familiar with setting but could find nothing labeled macro on the settings. Any help would be appreciated...

I've read a bunch of reviews of the S2 IS and am confused as to whether the optical zoom functions while in movie mode. A few reviews state that only the digital zoom can be used in movie mode while other reviews don't differentiate. Can someone with an S2 IS clear this up

Looking at Canon S2 and Kodak P850. Has anyne compared them? Positive or negative comments about either? They both seem to have about the same features. Anyone know how well the movie mode compares?

Anyone know what difference lens magnification makes to a lens? I heard someone say "Max magnification for the 24-105 is 0.23x, compared to 0.29x for the 24-70 (both at the tele end)." and am interested to know what this means in the real world.

I'm about to buy my first digital and am leaning toward the Canon Powershots named above, partly due to cost (under $200 including the memory card) and partly out of laziness (I've been using Canon SLRs for about 20 years).

I have a Canon S3 that I just picked up and started looking at the exif data. The ISO is not recorded that I can see. My workflow is: take pictures, put card in card reader, copy to hard drive using (windows xp) file manager.
