How To Shoot Better Photos with Your Digital Camera
Everyone has a digital camera today and we all take a lot of photos.
But if your photos still have trees coming out of your father’s head,
mom has red eye, and your beloved pet is never facing the camera then

Not digital, but still amusing to read about:

The camera is an old aircraft hangar with a pinhole aperture. The "film"
is a 31x111 foot piece of fabric coated with emulsion.
Irfanview Question17 Jun 2006 15:17 GMT2
Does Irfanview make use of a thumbnail database for fast browsing, like the
Thumbs.db file created by Windows?
If so, what is the filename and where is it stored? I can't find it.

Histogram issues with low end Canon - 300d17 Jun 2006 10:36 GMT8
I am very dependent on the histogram for exposure.  It was explained to
me per this group that I should expose keeping my information close to
the right side of the histogram because of the added attention given to
that area by the ADC.  Fine.  I have been very careful about doing ...

Pet Ownership - Killing Through Kindness17 Jun 2006 06:54 GMT37
Recent research has shown that the average lifespans of domesticated
animals are up to 4 years less than those of their feral counterparts.
The findings of this research highlight the hypocrisy and selfishness
of pet owners - that these so-called animal lovers brutally and
Displaying pictures on a website17 Jun 2006 04:53 GMT5
Hi,  I was playing with inline frames and border width, color and
padding and came up with a great frame for my pictures (of a lake at
Wisconsin Dells).  You put all of your picture in a column on one page

Zakim Bridge, Boston17 Jun 2006 00:59 GMT6
This is a VERY photogenic new bridge that was part of the Big Dig in

take the T to North Station and then walk across the pier next to the
bridge - you can get good angles on it.

and Lomb Spotting scope. The scope only has a serial number, and no
model number/name. Anyone know where the adapter can be bought?
The eyepiece on the scope is threaded, and the threads are about 1 1/8

Is there a program which will organize photos with keywords in a
database that allows me to save the photos on a DVD or CD along with the

Newbie Batch Editing Question16 Jun 2006 20:49 GMT5
As I've said here before I have a laptop screen/printing problem where in
short images look brighter on my screen than they print out to be. I haven't
been able to fix the issue with the suggestions I've been given so far, so
I'm currently investigating getting my screen changed ...
