| Distortion fix formula/workflow for Tokina 12-24 AT-X Pro f/4? | 03 May 2006 05:07 GMT | 30 |
I recently bought a Tokina 12-24 AT-X Pro f/4. Nice lens, especially given the price. It's got some noticeable distortion, though, particularly at the wide end. Anyone with any experience with this lens care to share a workflow or Photoshop (I'm using CS at the moment)

| Adding Guide Numbers -- please confirm my math | 03 May 2006 01:59 GMT | 6 |
This newsgroup has a few people who like physics and other things that are more math-intensive than I am comfortable with. So I need you to make sure I am doing this right (and am using the right formula).. I just picked up a second flash and want to use them for night sports

| Damaged JPEG's | 03 May 2006 00:40 GMT | 4 |
I have got damaged JPEG's on a CD-ROM which I'm desperate to get back well the I'm guessing the CD-ROM is damaged. I can see them prefect on the thumbnail but when you open them they are all over the shop. I tried about 25 different recovery programs and the only one that could

| proprietary rechargeable | 02 May 2006 17:45 GMT | 10 |
Are proprietary rechargeable batteries a big NEGATIVE for a digital camera. E.g. the Nikons D50 D70. As the years pass by they will be available but at a premium price and you will have no choice but to buy them from whoever has them.

| All NiMH batteries are dishonestly marketed? | 02 May 2006 17:24 GMT | 57 |
Before I started buying AA size NiMH cells, I got myself a LaCrosse BC-900 battery charger. This helps me to evaluate the cells that I buy. The charger can measure the capacity of cells (as measured in mAH) and it can perform a "refresh cycle." This procedure repeatedly charges and
