Can the Canon Ixus 750 (Powershot sd550) do remote capture?11 May 2006 13:24 GMT2
I got my Ixus400 stolen, and the insurance company replaced it with a Ixus
750. Its a lovely camera, but I cannot get remote capture to work (ie, i
want to release the shutter via PC control). This worked well on the 400.
I have downloaded the latest version of the camera software ...
Getting People To Act Naturally When Shooting11 May 2006 11:47 GMT21
Any tips on techniques for getting people to act more natural when taking
photos of them.  Unless you take shots without them knowing that you are
there (hidden, telephoto, etc)?
Photoshop Elements 2 weirdness..11 May 2006 10:50 GMT10
I asked this on a Photoshop group but nobody had any suggestions. Never know
you're luck in the big city, so I'll try here too!
I use PSE 2 for editing jpgs from my Coolpix 995, and it has always done a
splendid job. Recently I loaded some plug-ins (Extensis, Flaming Pear etc.)
Online Warranties, camera return update11 May 2006 10:36 GMT6
After calling Fuji again to ask about the odd behavior I posted about here
before, they said to return my 5200. Thing is, they only repair not replace
and said to call the vendor. That was the EPixphoto that I wrote of.
I called them on Monday, said to ship back... did that Mon ...
Dream Camera: Canon Sx IS11 May 2006 10:02 GMT29
I own the Canon PowerShot S2 IS and love it as a compact but I'm
underwhelmed by the S3 IS specs and recent online reviews.  Now, I
would have spent the $100 extra just for the Live Histogram firmware
upgrade...if I hadn't already owned the S2.  So, certainly not upgrade

money for cameras11 May 2006 03:51 GMT5
Seriously no scams! This method really does work and is a very easy way
to make fast money. A little while back, I was looking on the web for
easy ways to make money and I kept thinking that all of the ways I was
reading would never work and were just scams but not this one! The

Anyone explain these grid lines?11 May 2006 02:52 GMT6
I took this snap when I was laying a wooden floor last night.
Afterwards, I noticed strange grid lines in the mirror, and also pale
marks on the wall above and below the mantlepeiece.
Perhaps the pale marks on the walls are a reflection of flash from the
Sony DSCP200 advice11 May 2006 01:49 GMT7
I have owned several digital cameras going back somethime now. But my last
purchase was a Olympus C-3020 4 years ago. So I'm somewhat out of the loop
now. I am interested in the Sony DSCP200 which I saw advertised for $230
after a big price drop in a big electronics chain store. ...

anyone point me to a few meaningful reviews - critiques of the scanner
please? Also  readership comments on thier experiences with this
How do you get over disliking your self-portraits?10 May 2006 21:54 GMT59
I think it's quite an ironic situation that anyone would have a camera
or more that he uses often and yet, as the years pass by, has very few
images, if any, of himself to look back on and feel good about.
My problem is that I have a kafkaesque sort of self-loathing. I always
