I have come across these two scanners (used), and am planning to get one of them to scan-in the 35mm negatives and slides that I have created over years. Any suggestions on which one to choose? Technically they seem to be similar - any experiences - comparative information

| Scanning B&W | 18 May 2006 15:40 GMT | 1 |
I plan to scan some black and white negs on an Imacon 848 very soon, but despite my best efforts, I can't find info on the best method. I have well exposed 6x6 negs on either Delta 100 or FP4. I don't think that the specific type of neg should matter, but you never know. I hope

| Laptop calibration and brightness settings??? | 18 May 2006 02:51 GMT | 2 |
I just got the Eye Display 2, and I used its basic setup to calibrate my laptop. I'm now wondering if I did two things correctly... First, I did it in a room that was positively dark except for the laptop.

| DNG versus RAW for Archiving | 17 May 2006 15:17 GMT | 37 |
I shoot in Canon RAW with a 20D. I'm archiving my photos in DNG using the Adobe DNG converter, without embedding the RAW (CR2) file. Does this create any serious disadvantages as opposed to saving the original RAW file? I didn't want to take up the space to save both
