| Swivel LCD models besides Canon? | 23 May 2006 21:31 GMT | 5 |
Are there any worthwhile performers to consider? Swivel is king. The A620 is making a case for passing on my A80, but the more I think about the S3 the more it appeals to me. Do any of the few other swivel LCD models from other makers hold up to

| digital backs | 23 May 2006 21:27 GMT | 6 |
has anyone used Phase One's P30 back yet? am still debating over what to buy for work that involves taking photographs of (static) works of art. The battle between Imacon and Phase One is brutal (at least in Europe) and it's hard to find unbiased views from porfessionals who've

| Revisiting a classic (Canon G2) | 23 May 2006 16:47 GMT | 3 |
Just for grins, I haulted out my great old Canon Powershot G2 yesterday; it's hard to think that this camera was state-of-the-art just three years ago. It's fully functional, and has that great substantial feel that reminds me of a really good classic 35mm

What is the perceived wisdom for colour space in your camera. 1. Pick Adobe 1998 because it has a larger gamut than srgb. Leave all your photos in and any you upload to be printed convert to srgb 2. Leave the camera in srgb

| Size of S3 vs A620 | 22 May 2006 22:12 GMT | 4 |
Can an S3 owner give me a sense of the schlep factor of the S3? In my quest for a swivel LCD to replace my A80 (gifting away so I can upgrade : ) ) I've been set on the A620, which physically is close to the A80, and I love the form factor I've enjoyed with it. It fits easily

| The importance of viewfinders! (Panasonic and others, please read this) | 22 May 2006 22:10 GMT | 10 |
Battery life is cited as a primary reason to use a viewfinder but I think there are better reasons that should be mentioned more often. Viewfinders allow you to press a camera against your eye socket and lock your elbows to your chest for maximum stability. Yes, you can lock your ...

| Another moon shot trivia | 22 May 2006 19:30 GMT | 8 |
I've taken quite a few shots of the moon with my FZ20 at the max 432mm focal length, and they usually come out at about 275-280 pixels in diameter which fits comfortably inside a 300x300 pixel crop. The other night I was surprised to find

| Card reading problem | 22 May 2006 17:32 GMT | 3 |
My wife uses a 1GB card in her camera. She continually has problems loading images into computer with a card reader. About a hundred images or so load fine- the remainder transfer but the files are scrambled. I am suspecting a card reader problem. Are card readers set up for a
