What is with B&H and holiday's?25 Apr 2006 13:54 GMT231
I do not want to sound racist or anti-semetic, but I am rather irritated.
What is with these camera stores and shutting down for religeous holiday's?
Isn't it possible to hire staff that isn't Jewish so that they can keep
business going?  I just placed a significant order with them, ...
Ultra-Slim Cameras that charge via USB?25 Apr 2006 12:30 GMT1
I've got a Casio Exilim EX-S100 which is a great size for the shirt pocket
(slim and light), but I'm fed up with it 'cos I have to carry around a
cradle and mains plug to charge it and transfer photos to the PC.
Are there any super-slim cameras that just have a USB cable for ...
focus, again25 Apr 2006 11:14 GMT6
I did post about poor focus, earlier; well, I'm not the "sharpest tool in
the shed" but I sure didn't know this reason for poor focus.
Using my CP8700 (misquoted earlier) it WILL NOT do macro through a polarizer
filter.  I purchased that camera in order to have filter rings - just ...

Digital Photo Management?25 Apr 2006 07:12 GMT34
I'm currently trying to decide on the best way to file/archive my
digital images. I've been using Canon Zoom Browser to file the images.
I'm reasonably happy with the way it creates folders by date. I then
collate them into month folders and create folders like "Xxxx Holiday"
tripod monopod substitute ???25 Apr 2006 07:09 GMT27
I want to bring the tripod or monpod with my digital camera and
camcorder into the public stadium but these are not permitted into the
park because of the security reason.
I totally understand and respect the policy. But, as you know, the

My name is Yong and I am a grad student at the University of Toronto. I
have a 5-question survey about a research project called "Active
Badge", and I am writing to invite you to participate in this survey.
The survey consists only 5 questions and can be found at:

i just got this camera 2 weeks ago and i was taking pictures of a

Completely Off Topic25 Apr 2006 04:56 GMT91
I'd like to ask a favor...a small survey for another newsgroup that I
frequent.  If some replies come in, I'll explain the reason later.
Please reach in your pocket and pull out all of the change there and
tell me how much silver you have in your pocket right now.  Not the
Newbie's queston on taking pictures25 Apr 2006 03:12 GMT15
I am trying to learn how to properly operate my new Nikon D20 camera.
The confusion is about  Auto vs. Programmed Auto (P)  on the Mode Dial.
After reading on  P mode in the manual, I was not convinced what it is.  To
me, both modes look very similar.

I have a large collection of old 35mm slides, which I would like to copy
onto the hard disc of my computer.
I would appreciate advise on the best way to do this. I currently use a
Nikon Coolpix 5700.
Daffodils25 Apr 2006 02:09 GMT12
I haven't done anything but levels on this yet, so don't be too harsh.
