Is it OK to leave the compactflash card IN the digital camera for a

Hi, I have an Epson Z750 that I use with a 2Gb SD card. Now at my
birthday someone gave me a 4Gb SD card. The camera says: Format error.
When I examined th 2 Gb card using my PS's card reader I found it was
