With a digital camera (D50) I know I have to buy a "circular" polarizing
filter.  But what does that mean exactly?  Are the polarizing "lines"
concentric circles?  Does it mean that if I turn the filter there is no
change in the effect on the reflections like my old film ...

Not sure what happend to my original post.  Sorry if this posts twice.
Just added 3 galleries of photos from Bristol, TN. The weekend was pretty
grey and snowy but managed to get a few good shots.

In need of experts who can teach others about digital cameras and
related software to manage/clean up photos. You can teach from any
location with a computer and internet connection. The students will be
located worldwide - but primarily in the United States.

I have a Sony DSC W1 and I am having a problem with it.  All the
pictures I take now have 3 dark spots on them.  I've cleaned the lens
with lens cleaning paper and I cannot see anything on it.  The spots
ruin the pictures but are usually only visible when I use a lower speed

I have a couple of AF lenses which I used with the non digital Canon SLR.
Do you know if they can be used on the 30D on place of the EF lenses.?  They
seem to fit o.k. but I am not sure if they would damage the camera.
