| Scratched LCD screen | 03 Apr 2006 09:01 GMT | 10 |
I have a Casio EX-P700 and I recently managed to put a scratch in the LCD view screen. It's not terrible but it is annoying. Was hoping someone would have an easy remedy for this. I thought about trying those eye-glass repair kits that fill in scratches - has anyone tried

| Up sample without limits | 03 Apr 2006 06:39 GMT | 25 |
Most people don't realize just how good interpolation routines have become. With advanced mathematics it is now possible to up-sample an image and have the new up sampled image look just as sharp as the original. Detail that is not visible or even present in the original

| lines on prints | 03 Apr 2006 03:45 GMT | 5 |
I just purchased a Canon mp950 all in one. On 8.5x11 with some prints and different papers I get thin vertical lines from top to bottom 7/16" apart, they look like they are rolled on-roller missing, not a printed line. My HP printer never did this. I am not using Canon paper but HP

| How durable are solid state readers/writers? | 03 Apr 2006 03:12 GMT | 7 |
With a hard drive or a floppy you'd expect that the more you use it to read/write the less life there'll be left in it. What about solid state readers/writers? Would it be better to use a reader other than the camera's own, besides

| Question about brand status. | 03 Apr 2006 01:54 GMT | 79 |
I'm posting this with some trepidation. It's not my intention to start any Brand A vs. Brand B debate, which I'm sure the regulars are tired of. What I'm asking for is mature and objective explanation of the

I can't read my compactflash card using a universal 9in1 reader on my pc but I have no problem reading it on my laptop. Both are running XP and that is up to date with all the patches from MS. On my desktop I can see the drives but just can't see the card. The

| Is it better to use slow chargers for NIMH batteries than the fast ones? | 02 Apr 2006 16:36 GMT | 16 |
I'm going to develop a routine so that I charge 4 batteries every day regardless of my needs. If I need less then I'll just charge less often, every other day or less so. This means that I won't need a fast charger, but nonetheless will always have batteries ready. It will even

| Canon A620 or Panasonic DMC-FZ7, is a large lens important? | 02 Apr 2006 16:28 GMT | 2 |
I'm doubting whether to buy the A620 or the Panasonic DMC-FZ7. In reviews they are pretty close, but I'm not sure if the two can even be compared to each other. The A620 is much more compact, especially it has a tiny lens like most compact digital cameras.
