does it matter if I buy a fuji or olympus xd-picture card on ebay?03 Apr 2006 22:23 GMT4
I notice that the Olympus are cheaper but I am buying a Fuji. Don' they
both use the same technology or did each manufacturer somehow make
their cards proprietary?

digital camera (PC-USB)03 Apr 2006 21:44 GMT1
Remote capture on Fujifilm Finepix A205?03 Apr 2006 21:03 GMT1
I'm looking for software like Canon's "Remote capture"
that allows the computer to take timed full quality shots
via USB cable with Fujifilm Finepix A205 digital camera.

Histograms and flower macros03 Apr 2006 20:32 GMT6
I've been going outside to take macro photos of the flowers that are
blooming in my area this spring. But every time I rely upon the
histogram to judge exposure, the pictures come out poorly. Could this be
due to excessive spring pollen in the air? Should I take an
Admit it;  You'd like a Nikon FE-2 with a digital back03 Apr 2006 19:57 GMT68
I'd like an Olympus OM-1n with one.
Sensor dirty?  Just open the back up and
clean it easily.  No messing around with myriad
silly controls and menus, just basic, auto or manual
Nikon Coolpix S3 v Coolpix 420003 Apr 2006 18:02 GMT2
I had the 4200 for a couple of years. I got the S3 for Christmas. At
first, I liked the S3 a lot better. It fits in a pocket a lot better,
the view screen is much larger, the field of view is a bit wider, and
it is slightly quicker between shots.
Please help me get it into a "system"03 Apr 2006 16:42 GMT14
Here's the problem: I'm a pretty experienced armature photographer
who recently switched to Digital SLR (20D) from a combination of film
SLR and P&S Digital. I feel I'm getting pretty good in at shooting
and then 'fixing' RAW files in Photoshop CS. I also have iPhoto.
Uploading pics from EnglandEurope03 Apr 2006 15:22 GMT8
I will be on a trip to England and the continent in May.
It would be nice to walk inti an internet cafe, put
my SD cards in a reader, and upload them to my Linux
system.  If I take video clips the size would be in gigabytes.

lens setting03 Apr 2006 13:05 GMT12
With a film A1 I am using a Canon FD 24-35 3.5 ssc aspherical lens., F
stops are 3.5-22  I need to photo  as sharp as possible an object 100ft
out. Would I use f11-f16 or is it not going to make a difference, I use
tripod and cable release.

I plan to buy a Minolta DiMAGE Z5 soon and I need to know which SD
card to buy.
What speed is fast enough for this camera?  Is 50X fast enough so
that the speed of saving pictures is limited to the speed of the
