I was given a lens this morning. A Sigma (Canon fit) 70-200. I tried it on
my 300D and it worked for about half a dozen shots but then I got an error
message and that now persists.......unless I use the manual setting. Any
ideas?

Help! I've just bought a Canon digital Eos 350D and my sigma lens won't work with it for some reason. It's a 28-200 'aspherical IF' with AF obviously and the camera keeps reading an error code 99 which means that the lens 'may not be compatible'. Why would this be the case? It's ...
