Wearing phot vest at Europe in June 200610 Apr 2006 12:09 GMT2
Greetings! I am thinking of wearing a photo vest which has many pockets
to store passport, small digital camera and batteries etc. I shall be
traveling to London, Paris and Rome in late May and June 2006. One bad
point I can think - It will immediately mark me as tourist.

Newbie Looking for Advice on Strobes10 Apr 2006 05:48 GMT2
I am planning a home studio of sorts to perhaps generate a little extra
income on the side.  I know absolutely nothing about purchasing lighting; I
just know I need some.  I already have made some backgrounds from bulk
muslin cloth and Rit dye, they came out great for just a few ...
Sigma Flash D200 upgrade10 Apr 2006 05:02 GMT1
Just a quick note to let you know, that if you have a Sigma Ef500 DG flash
that isn't working on your D200, Sigma is doing speedy, free upgrades.
I sent mine in, & got it back in only a couple of weeks.  It works just fine
on my D200, now.

Point and shoot that will work with pro lighting system?10 Apr 2006 03:57 GMT6
My wife wants to replace her  three or four year old Sony DSC-S85
camera mostly because we understand that newer cameras have eliminated
the annoying shutter delay of the older generation digital cameras.
As a graphic designer she also used the camera sometimes to take
Filters for a non-threaded camera?10 Apr 2006 02:20 GMT2
Ordering a panny dmc-tz1 which has no threads for adding an
adapter/filter. Does another scheme exist
for using a filter with a non-threaded camera..like a slip-on ring?
newbie's question on ISO and Depth of Field10 Apr 2006 00:01 GMT12
If you want to highlight images in the foreground and blur the background,
should the F stop numbers be small or large?
Regarding ISO, in general should ISO be set at 200 for inside photos and
higher ISO's for outside?

Nikon battery and charger09 Apr 2006 21:08 GMT2
I just bought a Nikon camera with battery charger MH-18a. It charges lithium
ion batteries. My question is about charging the battery. Can I put the
battery on charge when it is half full to top it off or do I have to drain
it completely before charging it. Some people have told me ...

classics are now out of print.

has anybody made experiences with the "Lens Error" problem? (camera switched
on -> objective out, "lens error", objective does not retract again) Any
possibility to get the lens retracted into its usual "off"-position?

Kodak EasyShare DX6490 - comments?09 Apr 2006 15:45 GMT2
A friend just offered one of these guys to me. Any known problems, or
comments about it? Looking through his pictures, a few are very good,
but almost everything not shot in bright sunlight (i.e. on an overcast
day) seems significantly underexposed.
