4.5 volt charger, not 5 volt?12 Apr 2006 08:51 GMT22
I have 3 FujiFilm digital cameras that all use the same type of 5 volt
chargers.  One of the chargers is missing, and I want to give my oldest
camera to my daughter.  I can only find 4.5 volt universal chargers that fit
the camera's plug-in.  I can set the polarity correctly.  Will ...
Nikon D50 photo orientation12 Apr 2006 07:37 GMT13
Hi - just have a new D50 and notice that although the Nikon software sorts
out the orientation, other software doesn't (e.g. the thumbnails in windows
explorer, Corel photopaint...) - in contrast to photos taken on my Canon
S50. Does anyone know how to sort this out?
Higher bit conversion in DSLRs unlikely12 Apr 2006 01:38 GMT16
According to one engineer.  Going from 12 to 14 or 16 bit A/D
conversion is unlikely because
the 14 and 16 bit converters (although they have provide higher
resolution) have sampling rates
Ebayers refusing to deal with foreigners11 Apr 2006 23:50 GMT47
I've noticed a growing number of Ebay sellers refusing to ship/sell to
anyone in (mostly) the Far East (excluding Japan) and Russia.  If this
is such a hotbed of fraud, I wonder if slothlike Ebay is doing
anything about it?  Like maybe ask sellers and buyers there to put
1GB SD or CompactFlash11 Apr 2006 23:30 GMT2
Greetings Digital Photographers,
I have started a new site dedicated to digital cameras, and will be
doing a monthly giveaway!  This month the giveaway is a 1 gigabyte
memory card from SanDisk.  The winner will have their choice of either
Nikon Raw question11 Apr 2006 23:19 GMT2
What softwear do I need to convert raw photos from my Nikon 5700.  Can I
download it, or is the softwear something I have to purchase?  How do I use
the softwear once I have it.  Thanks for your help.
How to Order BW Workflow Pro program?11 Apr 2006 21:13 GMT1
I am starting to convert color digital photos to B&W. The program BW
Workflow Pro has been suggested for the job. It is published by Fred
Miranda. I go to his web site to order the program and find the site
has an error which will not allow the order to go through. Nor is there
a great new web site for genealogy or scrappbookers or biographers.  Free11 Apr 2006 20:54 GMT1
Our son Scott Purcell, has started a new Internet company called Web
biographies.  Scott is an entrepreneur and has founded other successful
Internet companies.   The product is a free genealogy and web biography
site where you can store your own biography.  You can store photos and
D70 successor11 Apr 2006 19:53 GMT3
Nikon is heavily discounting the D70s, presumably to liquidate existing
stocks.
Any real news on the D70 successor, presumably based on the D200
sensor/electronics?
Bibble Pro 4.7 any good?11 Apr 2006 18:44 GMT3
Anyone use Bibble Pro?
I downloaded a trial version a few days ago and it seems very good.
Any comments would be appreciated.
Is my Coolpix 8800 broken?11 Apr 2006 18:23 GMT14
When I turn on the camera and set the top dial to any of the
picture-taking modes, I can hear what sounds like a tiny motor running.
I don't remember hearing this sound when I first started using the
camera. The camera works fine otherwise, except that the battery seems
Newbie lense question11 Apr 2006 15:34 GMT7
We finally made the step up from a digital point-n-shoot to a Canon Digital
Rebel this weekend. This first upgrade that we clearly need is a telephoto
lense in the 70-200 or 70-300 range. It appears that Canon, Tamron, and
Quantaray all sell 70-300mm telephoto, non-IS lenses for ...
Remote control for FZ2011 Apr 2006 12:15 GMT6
I bought a used FZ20 a month ago and I love it. I'd like
to be able to use the remote control function but where
I live, it's not as simple as just ordering it online.
I'm an experienced electronics tech and would like to
