Nikon L4 NIMH batteries?14 Apr 2006 04:16 GMT8
My husband received a Nikon L4 camera, and the instruction booklet
specifies "Nikon EN-MH1 NIMH batteries" specifically. I have a couple of
Duracell 2500 ma NIMH batteries, and I'm wondering if it's OK to
substitute these in his camera, or if I need to buy him the Nikon
Can You Alter DPI?14 Apr 2006 04:07 GMT44
I have a HP 4.1 MP digital camera but would like to use a photograph I
found on Microsoft's Clip Art site for a project.  It's horizontal and
vertical resolution is 150 dpi, but the publisher I'm working with
requires 300 dpi.
Recommendations for Digital Camcorders?14 Apr 2006 03:28 GMT5
I'm thinking of buying one soon - any you would recommend and NOT recommend?
Question about numbering modes in Canon 350D14 Apr 2006 02:02 GMT2
I currently use continuous, where it fills up folders ... 150, 151, 152,
... independent of downloads.
My question is, if I try out "auto reset," where the camera resets every
time I upload ... if I later go back to continuous, will the camera
Olympus C-350Zoom minus disk?13 Apr 2006 23:14 GMT1
Hi Chaps!
Just bought a second hand digital camera (as title) but it has no software
disk with it. Tried to download software from Olympus's site but it needs
the original (off the disk supplied with camera) before it will load. I have
Macro slide copying?13 Apr 2006 22:32 GMT2
While saving for a slide scanner
I'm considering using a macro arrangement to digitize slides.
Has anyone here done this?
(My DSLR is a Pentax DS and I've got a suitable lens.)
Canon S1IS Camera Manual 13 Apr 2006 22:17 GMT7
I have one of these cameras. It is a wonderful instrument.
I would like to know what other people who own the same camera, feel
about the manual. I feel it is nearly worthless. It is over 100 pages
long, and I can never find the information I need. Comments?

RAW (CR2) import into Paintshop pro13 Apr 2006 21:57 GMT2
A while ago Corel told me they would be writing the import code for the
Canon 350D RAW filetype, but I haven't seen this yet.
Short of using RawShooter, does anyone know the header structure of the .CR2
file format to allow me to open them?

Lens test charts for digicams13 Apr 2006 18:19 GMT7
I still have a couple of old lens test charts from film camera days. But
to use it with digital and convert to lines per picture width is a pain.
Are there any available CHEAP lens testing charts aimed at digicams?
Vertical pink streaking on images13 Apr 2006 18:08 GMT7
I've been doing some work with snapping photos of cars with a Sony
DFW-X710 CCD firewire camera. The problem is that vertical pink streaks
are appearing on the image. Is this an artifact of pixel saturation on
the CCD?  Or result of the lens?  I've looked all over the web for this
Repairing battery voltage reversal13 Apr 2006 17:34 GMT17
Since the subject of cell voltage reversal came up, I'm wondering
what the opinion is on repairing such damage cells.
This weekend I tried to draw down a set of Sanyo AA NiCads that
have been stored for a while as my own "conditioning" cycle.
