| Kodak DX6490 Exposure Compensation | 16 Apr 2006 18:07 GMT | 2 |
I just bought a Kodak DX6490 digital camera. A problem I have noticed is that the manual exposure compensation seems to have almost no effect when taking indoor flash photos. For example, if I set the camera to Auto mode, and auto flash mode, and take 3 pictures -- one

Could someone email the users manual off of the CD-Rom for this camera please? The quick start printed one lacks detail and I don't have the disk. Also, if someone could stick the disk image up somewhere to be downloaded I would appreciate it. I have the sleeve (and camedia serial ...

| point n shoot? slr? | 16 Apr 2006 17:40 GMT | 42 |
To me, a point and shoot camera has always been of the small pocketable type that have barely any manual controls and maybe a few set scenes. SLR would be a camera type (apart from being single lens reflex) that has full manual controls aswell as auto.

| RAW vs AUTO | 16 Apr 2006 17:27 GMT | 10 |
I just shot about 40 images of a family group for Christmas. I used a Canon G5 set to RAW using external Canon Speedlite flash. Subjects were dressed in black and red. After downloading the images to the pc, they all looked like crap. Very grainy, too bright and high color ...

I would like to know if there is any good photo software out there that will handle red eye, resizing (especially trying to convert images to 1024x768, 800x600, etc...) as well as able to extract photos from a movie. My digital camera can take movies but windows mplayer

| Pentax Optio 555? | 16 Apr 2006 17:08 GMT | 3 |
It seems to be getting good user reviews, but there don't seem to be many pro reviews yet. It's still pretty new. Anybody have impressions of it? I used to have an Optio 430. My photos often came out blurry. I'm trying to decide if that was a result of the camera or me not being ...

| In rubber boots with the Canon S2 | 16 Apr 2006 16:55 GMT | 2 |
Here's a composite shot taken in the early morning at my home with the Canon S2. I put on my rubber boots and went out in the shallows to get the picture. The sun was rising with mist off to the left mostly burned off by the time it reached the shore:

| Creating HTML image displays | 16 Apr 2006 16:55 GMT | 8 |
Is there a program in which I specify a directory of images and it will automatically create reduced images and thumbnails, add a "photo credit" and drop shadow and then make HTML pages ready to FTP to a Web site? I have a home brew one, but I would like to find something that is

| camera buying guide (screener)? | 16 Apr 2006 16:54 GMT | 2 |
I'm looking for a compact size camera for shooting building's interior. Therefore I need something with wide angle: at least 28mm (35mm equivalent), and 24mm would be even more desirable. I don't want to add a lense attachment to achieve this since attachment degrades image ...
