ICM-aware image viewer?20 Apr 2006 07:59 GMT8
Are there any [free] ICM-Aware picture/image/photo viewers out there? I
have just calibrated my monitor and now only Photoshop supports color
management.
Are there any free programs, like IrfanView, that support color
Anyone have experience with Photostory4.0 ?20 Apr 2006 07:05 GMT3
I'm having a hard time creating a CD with pics, mp3s for sound, and
mpegs. I can create the slideshow and play it on the computer just
fine, but when it comes to making a CD it just doesn't read on my DVD
player.
Canon A510 problem - lens stuck, turns on for 10s then shuts off.20 Apr 2006 05:13 GMT1
Hi, I'm looking for advice on a Canon A510.  I have had it for a couple
months and have used it about 7 times and it has worked fine.
The lens is stuck about 2 millimeters out, the lens protector shield
thingies are about half open.  I try to turn it on and the blue canon screen

Canon SD700 IS(!).
This would go a looooong way toward making a decent length zoom on a tiny
camera actually worth using.
The Future of Compact Flash Cards20 Apr 2006 04:56 GMT14
What do you think will be the future of Compact Flash cards? Near and Far.
I've heard rumors that there will be some pretty significant price
reductions by late this year. BU T, at the same time I see local retailers
clearing out their inventory of Compact Flash due to the change to ...
CompactFlash - Canon 20D folders20 Apr 2006 00:56 GMT8
I just noticed that I am getting a collection of folders in the CF card
I use on my Canon 20D.  The usual method I use of downloading does delete
the image files, but the folders remain.
So the non, unused, folders be deleted?
Panasonic FZ30 v Fuji Finepix S602Z20 Apr 2006 00:28 GMT5
I'm thinking of changing my Fuji Finepix S602Z for the Panasonic FZ30 to
get the 12x zoom rather than the Fuji's 6x. Image stabilisation and the
quicker startup are also a consideration (ideally I would like something
like the EOS350D but I doubt I could afford the equivalent of ...
Looking to buy new digital camera-recommendations?19 Apr 2006 23:19 GMT3
I'm looking to buy a new digital camera, around 5 megapixels, maybe more,
and in the $300-400 price range. I had a Sony DSC T7 over the summer, but it
got stolen in Europe. Until recently, I was planning to buy the same one
again, but after reading reviews and reviewing my low ...
PING Rusty: Are there a lot of cute chicks on MySpace?19 Apr 2006 22:29 GMT6

Re: camera will not switch back on!19 Apr 2006 21:36 GMT1
Hi welcome to HTFC.
Look in the manual and if there is a reset button try that, it will
reset the microprocessor.
Could be the lens has jammed, if it's brand new then I would have it
Need list of computer-controllable cameras19 Apr 2006 20:56 GMT3
I am hoping to generate a list of cameras which will
be candidates for major surgery to make a peltier-
cooled camera for prime-focus astrophotography.
The major requirements are:
Nikon D5019 Apr 2006 18:41 GMT1
Hi Group
I have a Nikon F60 with a number of lens, a 28-80 kit lens, an 85mm 1.8, a
50mm 2.8 and a Sigma 2.8 70-210 APO, I want to buy a Nikon D50 but wonder if
I should go for body only or take the 18-55 kit lens.
white balance19 Apr 2006 18:40 GMT26
My camera has various white balance modes and I am unsure about 4 of them...
1. Shooting under "daylight" flourescent lamps
2. Shooting under "warm white" flourescent lamps
3. Shooting under "cool white" flourescent lamps
Canon A62019 Apr 2006 14:14 GMT8
I have owned over six digital cameras, except for an earlier
Kodak, I was never satisfied with the photo quality.
My present camera, a Sony DSC-W7 is a big disappointment.
I do fire apparatus photography and in spite of using the
Sleazy Epson antis up19 Apr 2006 07:09 GMT16
Epson has settled a class-action lawsuit in the US regarding its inkjet
printers. The complaint was that Epson's cartridges indicate that

operate even though ink remains in the cartridge.
