Nikon AF lens on Fuji S1 Pro?27 Mar 2006 16:32 GMT6
Does anyone know if a Nikon AF Zoom lens (70-300G) will work on a Fuji
finePix s1 pro?
(I'm selling a lens and the buyer wants to know)
Picasa27 Mar 2006 16:06 GMT2
I tried to mirror animage using Picasa but was eminently unsuccessful.
Unless I blundered I think Picasa does not do that feature.
Is there any other SW that will enable to flip a photo horizonatally?
Thank you,
Konica Minolta DiMAGE Z3 questions27 Mar 2006 11:04 GMT3
I am thinking of buying a refurbished Konica Minolta DiMAGE Z3 as my
first digital camera.  It will cost about $205 (US) delivered.
Is this camera a good choice?  Are there other cameras for about the
same price that would be better?

B&H refund failure27 Mar 2006 06:10 GMT37
I ordered an item on December 17 with UPS 2-day air delivery, and the
package was not delivered on-time. I asked the UPS guy who to ask for
a refund of the extra charge, and he said B&H. I called on the 23d and
was promised a refund of the difference between the shipping I ...
Things have changed.27 Mar 2006 03:48 GMT24
I was thinking today as I browsed through the posts.  Seems like the
digital/film wars are finally over.  Not that long ago, there would be
film fanatics who would post in the group and argue how digital was no
good, or at least not as good as film.  Don't see those any more, at ...

Setting image size in Nikon D5027 Mar 2006 02:18 GMT8
I just got a new Nikon D50 and I have a question about Image Quality. Which
size do I use on a vacation trip to Europe.  The menu lists 5 sizes;NEF
Raw, JPEG Fine, JPEG Normal, JPEG Basic and NEF+JPEG Basic.  I have been
using Fine, which gives me 284 pictures on a 1 gig SD card. ...
FZ-30's extended zoom26 Mar 2006 22:51 GMT7
Lumix FZ-30 35 - 420mm [12x] (+extended optical zoom)
What would tip the balance in favor of the FZ-30 over the Fuji S9000
or the KM Dimage A200 for me would be the quality of the pics taken
using the EOZ.
Less expensive DSLR's, Nikon or Canon26 Mar 2006 22:47 GMT45
I looked at the Nikon D50 with it's kit lens and liked it, but I wonder if
the Canon Rebel XT is better.  The prices are about the same.  The Nikon is
a 6MP while the Canon is 8, but the results look about the same.  What do
you people think?  Nikon or Canon?

latest info on buying a camera in Japan?26 Mar 2006 21:06 GMT24
Hi, does anyone know the latest info on buying a camera in Japan?
I rang up Laox store in Akihabara and was given a price of 89800 yen
for an English model Nikon D50 with std lens kit. Take off the 5% tax
rebate and you get a price of about 419, which is the same as amazon
some tests with a reversed lens26 Mar 2006 20:28 GMT2
I tested my 100mm f/2.8 canon macrolens with an orinary 50mm reversed
lens in front of it.
Not completely satisfied, but not very bad either.
Three of them are with reversed lens, the others without.
New Foveon-like full colour sensor from Fujifilm26 Mar 2006 19:16 GMT19

The difference is that to detect the individual colours they are
planning to use three layers of light-sensitive organic material. Should
be available in three to four years. The benefit will be no more
