| Nikon D50 Flash Question | 28 Mar 2006 06:55 GMT | 7 |
I'm just getting familiar with my D50 and have previously always been an available light type. This may be a stupid question but so be it - When I set the camera on Auto the other evening and the flash was used the camera chose F2.8 at 1/60 and I got a lot of really good images but

| which Epson printer for b&w prints? | 28 Mar 2006 00:15 GMT | 8 |
I will start making black & white prints from the color files from a Nikon camera (D100). I now own an Epson 1280 printer. Epson makes no black & white ink sets for this but at least one 3rd party does (MIS Associates UT2 Ultratone). So, I am faced with two choices: 1) Keep

| summarize picture phones vs compacts? | 27 Mar 2006 22:19 GMT | 3 |
A big flame war went by about cell phones taking over the camera market. I bet there was some useful information in there for me but I don't have time to dig through all the threads. Obviously camera phones won't replace DSLRs or even those compacts with

Don't know if this ng includes video cameras! I'm looking to buy a camcorder, but I want a strong optical zoom, and it must have an A/V in connector, for connecting to an external bullet camera. I've looked at the Sony HC42E, but it's a little expensive, and the zoom

| Looking for a good, extremely compact camera | 27 Mar 2006 18:50 GMT | 3 |
My problem is straightforward: My Rebel, much as I like it, is just too big to take everywhere. I end up leaving it at home unless I'm expecting to take pictures, and even sometimes when I'd like it along, it would be too inconvenient. End result: it spends more time than I'd
