Video capture in poor light with Canon A31002 Mar 2006 11:42 GMT3
I've a Canon A310. While taking Videos with it in poor light
conditions, is there anyway we can get videos with sufficient
illumination? For taking Photos, anyways the flash of the camera meets
this purpose.
Will Canon Powershot s3 accept filters?02 Mar 2006 11:40 GMT2
I decided to get a Powershot s3-- it's a compromise among many
considerations, but I think it best fits my needs. (My requirements are
a long zoom, antishake, and swivel viewfinder.) What I'm wondering is
whether this design is like the S2 in lacking a threaded ring mount for
Canon S80 Macro button vs Digital Macro?02 Mar 2006 11:22 GMT4
Just wonder if any Canon camera owners or any phtography expert can
answer this silly question of mine. What is the difference bwtween the
Macro button and the "Digital Macro" menu item in the Canon S80, do
they achieve the exact same thing? Is the Macro button just a

I like to do slide shows of my digital prints for DVDs but haven't been
able to find one that does a pan and zoom.  Does anyone know of such a
program?  I have a couple that do just the normal transitions.

silica gel02 Mar 2006 05:50 GMT63
I found a big bag of silica gel in the packaging of my new computer.  I'd
like to use this silica gel to keep my camera dry when I go camping in damp
weather, and also to dry it out at the end of a long day in the rain.
However, the silica gel is not visible so I can't see what ...
Lexar USB 2.0 CF Reader02 Mar 2006 04:26 GMT2
Sorry to ask such a goofy question; but does the the Lexar USB 2.0 CF
Reader have a built-in cable, like a little tiny cable that pops out?
Or, does it simply have an interface to which I need to plug in a
separate cable?

batteries also?
Thanks,
? corrupted JPG files02 Mar 2006 00:33 GMT25
I know this is touched on regularly but I'm not sure if my case is different
as the thumbs in windows explorer look perfect. However, when opening the
file in a variety of applications (PSE4, PI10, ACDsee, Irfan, etc) the image
is all there but seems to be divided into 4 or 5 ...

Indoor high school sports pictures advice?01 Mar 2006 23:04 GMT4
I've got a Canon D20 camera, and I wanted to take pictures of the kids
playing sports.  I have a good lens for outdoor sports, but it eats a
bit too much light and is a bit too strong for indoors.
I was thinking of the canon EF 135mm f/2L USM
Sharpest photos01 Mar 2006 21:13 GMT54
I have seen extremely sharp-fine detail film 8x 11 photo prints that im
sure were taken with large format film, much sharper than my A1 with
Kodachrome ever did. What digital camera can match print detail of large
format film printed at 8.5x11. Since pixels relate to photo size ...
